This was our second time staying @ Havana Cabana. The only issue we had was that the music @ the pool was extremely loud. Our room was close to the pool & the music should be turned down a bit earlier in our opinion. Other than that a great place.

This property is a remodeled Howard Johnson’s. Our first 2 mornings the coffee was complimentary. We received a text on the 3rd morning that they were taking that away. We booked a week at this property. Cleaning staff came in. Replaced towels and made the bed, took trash but didn’t clean the sink etc. Staff around the pool areas in the morning, servers, seemed put off, frustrated etc. we chose to go off property to eat. Pool is not heated as listed. Other employees were a delight and seemed glad to be at their work place. Front desk and concierge were helpful. Outdoor pool areas and around the hotel is very pretty with lots of palms etc. Doubt we’d stay again. Just an “ok” property.

Not the experience we hoped for
We booked this resort for four days to celebrate our 30th anniversary and splurged on a gulf side room with a balcony. This was a waste of money. The resort advertises as waterfront; however, there is a very busy four lane hwy between the hotel & the water making it unenjoyable to sit outside, unless you like the sounds of cars/trucks and emergency vehicles zooming by. We could even hear these sounds inside our room. This was not the peaceful escape we wanted. We also felt that the friendliness of the bartenders was sub par. Also, why would you charge your guests $3 for a cup of plain coffee?!? There are others things that occurred that didn’t give us the resort vibes & hospitality we hoped for. Sadly, we will stay elsewhere on our next visit to the Keys.

Nice clean property, wish we would have known it was more of a quiet resort. We were more of a lively group celebrating a 50 th birthday. We all felt our energy wasn’t well received by most staff at times. But overall we had a good time!

The decor & cleanliness was wonderful. Staff were extremely courteous. Not sure if it is all the rooms or just the room we were in, but there was a outside light that never turned off & even with the curtain drawn all the way the room remained very bright at night & disruptive for sleeping.

The property was noisy at night. There were two nights in a row with drunk people being load outside our room. Loud slamming doors at night and strange people knocking on our door at random times at night. Our room was not attended to the first day. The bed was not made and we never received clean towels this had to be addressed with the staff. Our AC unit had a leak inside the room causing standing water in the floor. Food was hyper inflated in cost. $70 for breakfast is unacceptable. We ate next door at IHop for only $30 and received more food. Pool area was nice, Tiki bar was nice, surrounding were nice. Teanage staff at night not helpful and not knowledgeable.
