The room was clean, pools and beach areas beautiful. We had a wonderful massage at the spa. Gym was clean and set up well. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. We did have to walk to the second floor with our luggage, without prior knowledge of that.

Room was nice and close to everything. Beware that the roosters do crow in the early hours. I got used to it, but it did startle me the first night. Do not let this deter your stay because the chickens are part of the ambiance.

Location on Duval very convenient. Stayed in the Bed and Bfast option in the Avalon, rooms were small but very nice. High ceilings and a ceiling fan.

I thought I purchased an upgraded room based on the description and picture. The picture on your web site showed a chair in the same room as the bed. When I checked in and got to the room there was only a bed. The room was so small that a chair could not even fit between the bed and the wall. However the staff was very nice and discounted us a larger room for our stay

Staff, and location were excellent! The resort is beautiful. Room was small and the floor was dusted daily however the floor itself was filthy dirty. Never any chairs at the pool but that seems typical.

The first day that we checked in, it was just after 4 PM. About two hours later one of the girls staying in the room with me, saw a termite crawling across the floor in the bathroom. We went to the front desk and asked to be moved to a different room. We paid for a superior room. They actually moved us to a deluxe room which is not what we paid for. The room was much smaller. There was one very small sink in the bathroom with no counter space. I went to the front office in the morning and again asked to be moved to a room comparable to what we had actually paid for and was told that they were 100% booked and the only other two queen room they had was in the same building where our first room was that had termites. They did remove one night of the resort fee, which is $65. They were unable to move us to another room until the third day when they put us up in a partial ocean view room, which was very nice but we ended up staying in a room that was less inferior to what we actually paid for the first two nights. I did ask about a partial refund and was told that I had refused to be moved the second day to the room that was in the same building as a termites. I found it pointless and that they did not care. The resort grounds are beautiful and we were shocked to see termites in the room. We did not want to stay in a room and that same building out of fear of taking termites back to our homes. They should’ve at least refunded us half of what we paid since the first two nights or l
