Basic accommodation was expected, but unreliable Wi-Fi was not I booked knowing it was budget accommodation, so I was perfectly happy with a no-frills place to sleep. However, one thing I was relying on was the advertised Wi-Fi, as I was travelling internationally and needed internet access. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout my stay. I want to give credit to the gentleman who came twice to try to fix it. He genuinely made an effort, and I appreciated his help. Although the Wi-Fi worked briefly after his attempts, it stopped working again. I contacted Expedia requesting a refund so I could find somewhere with reliable internet, but the property told Expedia the Wi-Fi was working, and I was unable to get a refund. I stayed because I had already paid and didn't want to pay for another accommodation. The room was also chilly, with only a sheet on the bed for cover, which made the night uncomfortable. I can overlook a lot when booking budget accommodation. I don't expect luxury, but I do expect advertised amenities to work and basic comforts to be provided. The most disappointing part wasn't that something went wrong. It was that I was left without a satisfactory solution when it did.

I love this hotel . I go to Dublin once a year and always make sure I’m at the Gresham

Had a problem for the first couple of days with the safe in the room. Didn't work and not secured (could remove from room)! Problem sorted. This hotel is very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast great. Food in restaurant is fantastic and plentiful.
