The staff went above and beyond when I had a personal issue booking a train. All staff, restaurant servers and housekeepers were all very pleasant, helpful and just genuine. We loved the vinyl selection in our room and also the coffee machine.

Nice hotel with air conditioning in the rooms. Staff were friendly but only partially helpful. A child was running around and jumping in the room above us well until midnight and the reception only told us they would “check it out but couldn’t guarantee anything.” Did not stop after speaking with them and kept us up so long I got a migraine. One staff member was very helpful and brought me a bag of ice for it. Room was comfy but had some mold in the bathroom. Not sure if I would stay again.

No air conditioner

Booked a super double room with a queen bed, when we checked in we were told they only had 1 room left which had 2 twin beds. The room was SO hot when we walked in we had to leave the room for several hours with 2 fans running to even make it tolerable. The manager was so nice & apologetic, he was the only reason we stayed for the night. The water pressure was basically a dribble, would never stay here again.

The hotel is looking quite tired and would benefit from a refurbishment. While the room was functional, it didn’t feel as clean as I would have expected, and the shower curtain had an unpleasant smell that suggested it needed replacing. When we checked in, it was clear the hotel was exceptionally busy due to the concerts that weekend. However, when our room wasn’t ready at 3pm, we were simply told that rooms are available from 3pm and that we’d receive an email when it was ready. Unfortunately, that email never arrived. I completely appreciate that busy weekends can cause delays, but a brief apology and a clearer explanation would have gone a long way. We had dinner plans and needed access to the room to get changed, so the communication was a little disappointing.

It is an old hotel with a lot of character, the bar is amazing. The room I had was basic and needs a refresh but they are clean and comfortable. Parking is a nightmare, make sure you confirm the car park location in advance.
