It doesn't have any of the things it advertised... no gym is at the ymca 5 miles away continental breakfast not.. juice and coffee only. No one cleaned the room I asked for service twice, only took out the trash and fresh towels.. I was there 5 days. The beach is across the street but it shows like its out the back door. I definitely willnot come back there or recommend it

Terrible Experience!

While we were checking in, part of the vinyl siding fell on our car! We were put in a room that smelled like wet dogs. We had not asked for a pet friendly room. The shower tiles had mildew all around them, and the tub was leaking. Our AC had an irritating knocking noise intermittently all night. As soon as we were about to go to sleep, the knocking would wake us up. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but I booked a new place at 4:00am for the 2nd night. After all I was wide awake! I would suggest that you not stay here! The pictures on their website are misleading! It looks nothing like the pictures! Needless to say we were very disappointed!

My honest review......This isn't a " fancy " place, but a nice, reasonably priced, quite place to lay your head and dog friendly. I did online check in, therefore that was easy. Checked in b/t 7-7:30 pm, walked in, got card in less than 2 minutes . We went on a holiday weekend and there were no parking problems. The place is right at a crosswalk and beach access, making it easy and safe for crossing the road, but not within walking distance to a convenience store. The pool was nice. It's interior location made it nice for blocking the wind. There are ice machines on every floor; so you didn't have to go to another for it. Now, for the room....It was quiet. I had no problems with the cleanliness. I thought the bed was comfortable but each bed had only 3 pillows ( I like a few pillows for different reasons to make my sleeping comfortable ) and they were too soft ( bring your own...lol ). The coffee maker was only a one cup at a time coffee maker ( there is coffee in the lobby; no food ) and there is a small microwave. There was only 1 chair on the balcony 😏. The AC was cold but woke me up everytime it came on. The staff was friendly. Again, I'm not a " fancy " person, we were there to enjoy our visit. I wouldn't pay for ocean "view" again b/c it was very minimal. Id take the pool view to save a few $$, you'll need it to pay for meals 😳. Yes, I would stay here again for economic reasons to lay my head down.

The property and hotel and staff and all that is just fine. We stay at same hotel everytime we come to OBX. I got to knock them some points off though. 2 years in a row now I’ve paid for my room a month or 2 months early, only to have them “glitch” in the system and charge me again upon arrival. 2 years in a row!! Somethings shady !!

The paint and drywall in the bathroom was bubbling up and peeling. The carpet smelled disgusting. The sliding glass door would only open 1 foot wide, then got stuck. The in room refrigerator's freezer compartment was in desperate need of defrosting, and didn't actually keep anything frozen. The connected in-room hair dryer didn't work at all. There was a hurricane and not one staff member prepared the property and multiple pool umbrellas were blown over and broken as a result. The web page still lists "free breakfast" but we were told they just don't bother anymore. There was often loud parties in one room that seemed to have been taken over by staff, and the "heated pool" was not always heated. We've been coming here for a few years, but this year will probably be the last.

To begin with the pictures on this are very misleading…. We paid for an ocean front and when we arrived it was all blocked by houses they were built…. Second the place is very outdated… we got stuck in the elevator for about 20 min…. Nothing in it worked the phone, alarm, nothing. Then we get into room and find the toilet never stops running, the bathtub is non stop dripping/ running, the balcony door is ready to come off the hinges. There is no breakfast, nothing….. both elevators broke on our stay and we ended up having to carry all of our things up and down 4 floors and mind you my husband has a heart condition. I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the last available…. The guy at the front desk didn’t even care…. Absolutely disgusted with the place will NOT return

Overall it was just a place for us to sleep the pool was nice and our room was clean. There was no continental breakfast just juice and coffee. The first room we stayed in the safe kept beeping every 2 seconds loudly and we requested a new room and the lady told us there were no other rooms and there was nothing she could do to make the safe stop beeping at 10:00 p.m. and that there was no one else working on site to fix things. after my children couldn't sleep due to the excessive loud beeping we went to the front desk and they did end up changing our room after complaining to them more. Not my worst experience but definitely not my best either.
