There are not enough staff on in the bar and restaurant areas.
Receptionist super friendly on check in
Room tired & handle on bathroom door literally hanging off ….. the final screw popped out & onto the floor when I first entered the bathroom
Mentioned on the 1st night, but unfortunately nothing done about it, so used my tweezers to screw some new tiny screws in, so as not to get stuck in the bathroom during my 4 night stay.
The overriding reason, for me, for the low stars, is the sheer level of noise. When in my room, I could hear incredibly noisy happenings in the corridor & could hear every word from the room next door too.
I’m usually an incredibly deep sleeper, but this hotel had me waking every half hour ….. felt delirious for the whole week

Lisa, I think that is her name( the manager) was very helpful and kind. We stayed in the Admiral suite which was very large and comfortable. Shame we couldnt stream smart TV on TV in bedroom but not a huge issue.
Service was poor, slow, ill informed and with little if any initiative
Room was very cold & in a poor state of repair, walls and floors scuffed and ill maintained
Food, other than breakfast was very poor. Cooked elements of breakfast were quite good but the rest was poor.
It's a shame the pool was unavailable on the Saturday but really pleased when the problem had been resolved on the Sunday. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices.
The staff were welcoming services was excellent the food was lovely if we are in the area again we will be booking there thank you

Good enough for a one night stay for HPS
The rooms in the annex are very loud, could hear conversations from multiple rooms, the gap under the doors is large enough to hear quiet conversations in the corridor
My first night was disappointing as there was lots of door slamming noise through the night.
However, the manager called me to apologise and put me into a lovely quiet room for my second night. thank you
(Maybe you could consider amending the door closures so they don't loudly slam? or put up notices asking guests to close the doors carefully)
