Clean room and bathroom, ample closet and comfy sitting area; check-in a bit hectic with rain outside and crowded lobby area with people trying to check in and people waiting to leave. Lucky our room was ready when we arrived.

What an eclectic gem in the heart of Bergen! From the moment we arrived with a group of 6, the staff couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay memorable. We have stayed in boutique hotels in many European countries, and this was one, if not thee, best. From the great location-a 5 minute walk to Bryggen- to the wonderful included breakfast, to the one-of-a-kind decor,this was a treat. Our only complaint was that we were only staying 1 night before a cruise.. The staff always had smiles on their faces, and they truly made you feel like going the extra mile for our group was no problem. Alexandra greeted us like long lost family. I know this is a “gushing” review, but is deserved. I picked this hotel by its 4.8/5 rating on Trip Advisor, and it deserves a 6/5. If boutique hotels are up your alley, don’t miss it!

Lovely, peaceful place in a great location. The street outside can be bustling with people but once one steps into the hotel it is an oasis of peace. Very clean, helpful and personable staff. Breakfast and dinner buffets offered a great variety of tasty choices. Highly recommended. I would stay here again.

Despite a the hotel affecting many hotels, the staff at this hotel were kind and helpful. They apologized for what they said was limited breakfasr options, but it was one of the better buffet breakfasts I’ve had while traveling.
