This hotel is absolutely beautiful! It was spotless, quiet, and conveniently located near everything. The staff was exceptional and made our stay truly enjoyable.

Very close to train station and grocery store to grab snacks.

Beautiful hotel, attention to details by staff. Dyson hair dryer, were the icing on the cake.

Booked two rooms -- a 3-person family room and a deluxe double room for my family of 5. Had the confirmation numbers for both rooms. Both rooms, of course, are pre-paid on Expedia for months. Imagine arriving after a 10-hour train ordeal (track repairs) from Berlin on a two-week European vacation from California, only to be told they do not have the reservation for our 3-person family room in their system. They acknowledged my two confirmation numbers; they acknowledged I pre-paid for both rooms. I even called Switzerland from the U.S. a month or so prior to our trip to make sure both rooms would be in the same building and on the same floor for my family of 5. Everything was confirmed. Upon arrival -- sorry -- no 3-person family rooms are available. We can give you another double room (which costs $700+ less than what I pre-paid; and was then offered a 300 Euro reimbursement. That's not $700+, not even close. So my family of 5 was split on two different floors; never got the room we paid for. It is a beautiful resort. Can't beat the location. I just hope all travelers here get the rooms they pay for and that if you're traveling with family and kids, you get to stay in close proximity -- because we didn't. Talk about an incredible disappointment.

Quaint German Hotel. Great restaurant. We had a fantastic dinner the night of check-in. Unfortunately, we did not stay as we encountered what looked like cockroaches in our room and when we approached the front desk were told "they are not cockroaches" "they are wood bugs from the garden". In this day and age with the internet giving identification capabilities instantly I read "cockroach" and was on the way out. The girl at the front desk then gave me a room in the front of the Hotel w/o a "Garden Room" window. This room had been smoked in and with my asthmatic condition I could not stay especially when I found the same bugs under my nightstand. Come to find out (when I got back stateside) these are Ectobius vittiventris. the Amber Wood Cockroach, Amber Forest Cockroach, or Garden Cockroach. Which are not a storage pest, and completely harmless to humans as they feed only on decomposing plant. Without window screens and no A/C they will be there. I went back the next morning (after finding a great clean bugless hotel at midnight a short drive away) asking for a refund and was summarily dismissed and denied. I did not stay in the Hotel nor eat the "great breakfast" I paid for. Had the management (very combatant) not been insistent the bugs were not cockroaches; and better informed me, I would have stayed and not lost close to a thousand dollars!
