Super clear and modern alternative

This is a nice, clean, modern hotel that is a great alternative to the usual big chains. The room was large, well-appointed (with a small kitchenette), with modern decor. It's right downtown, with many restaurants/bars nearby. The only downsides -- no parking (but there is a parking garage around the corner), no elevator, and the HVAC is a little noisy (but the hotel provides foam earplugs in the bathroom).

Nice place, convenient location

Convenient location and modern clean rooms with kitchenette. Parking available in close by parade fro $5 per day. Close to Sherman Center and great value.

Absolutely wonderful old building that has been updated and renovated. Rooms are cozy and have an apartment feel with a full kitchen. Very clean and modern. Super clean! The location is perfect for us attending a game at the Sleeman Centre. Parking is literally next door. Rate for our room was below most hotels in the surrounding area so really can’t beat it. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Guelph.

This historical hotel has a unique vibe about it and is located in an area within walking distance to many good eateries. The room was very clean, except for very dusty refrigerator top that somwone had previously spelled "Dusty" on it. The room was very quiet, though the bathroom was cramped. The only down side are the stairs. A number of flights to get to the 3rd floor, as there was no elevator. Good exercise, but not if you have a number of heavy suitcases.

Curling get away

Stay was great. Hotel is very nice, modern clean. Only glitch is that they don’t have a front desk. You need to check in at restaurant next door which is great except restaurant doesn’t open until 4 on Tuesdays. Check in time is 3 and with no parking at the site, we had all of our bags with us and no one at restaurant to give us key fobs etc. once there was someone available at restaurant all was good.

Love this place. I wish there were a rewards program or loyalty. I find often the penthouse suite is available, but the upgrade is never really offered to regular guests. Would be nice once and a while.

Great Location but No Free Parking

The hotel is downtown within walking distance from many restaurants making it easy to get around. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because of the parking situation. The staff of the restaurant (where you check in) had advised me I could park on the street as long as moved by the morning. I was up at 5 to move my vehicle that had a $40 parking ticket on it. Apparently winter hours there is no parking from 2-6. A little annoying.
