Shilo Inn appears to be an older Very nice place that is suffering in an area of declining economy. Clean and good place to stay. But it's obvious they are running on a minimal staff and differed maintenance. I do recommend and may stay again...hope the area and Shilo can get an econ boost!

Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the rooms are very dated and feel dingy. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was immediately struck by an odor that can only be described as moldy swim clothes mixed with urine. The propeet does have an indoor pool which would explain some of the odor...it was just a bit off-putting. Checkin was simple and efficient, with the attendant barely saying anything or acknowledging my existence. She didn't seem to enthused to be helping anyone. Breakfast is included but is very basic with prepackaged offerings and nothing hot. Being on a carbohydrate-restrictive diet I was unable to find anything suitable so I had to go elsewhere for breakfast. Location was decent with easy access and some fast food options nearby. All in all, it was a below average experience and I will likely book elsewhere on future visits.

Mold on the windowsill, broken air conditioner, toilet that wouldn't flush unless the handle was held, worst "free" breakfast I've encountered. When I reported the broken air conditioner to the staff, they took no action. (It was in the 90s while I was there.) All of this is unacceptable, but doubly so considering the price.

Nice hotel with pretty large, clean rooms, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. The restaurant was closed for renovation, which was a disappointment, since the last time I was here that was a real treat. The picture quality on the TV was pretty poor, even though it was a nice flatscreen and the lights in the room were dim, I’m making it difficult to read. Even though things are a little bit dated, it’s a convenient place to stay and more than adequate for a road tripper.

Room was clean, but the place was severely understaffed for a really busy check in. Hot tub wasn't working on our first stay. Barely working on our second. Hotel is located away from most everything. Luckily, Abby's Pizza was nearby. Good pizza. Positive note: it's right on the highway. So, easy in, easy out for us long trekkers.
