This was by far the worst hotel experience I had in Japan. The staff were notably unhelpful, and the hotel is definitely not infant-friendly. Early check-in is not allowed—even just 30 minutes before the standard time—even when rooms are clearly available. The front desk also made no effort to explain the facilities or amenities; I only found out about the direct shuttle to Sannomiya Station through another tourist staying elsewhere.
There’s no luggage delivery service, so if you're planning a stay here, pack light. Infant cots come with an additional nightly charge, and there’s no microwave in the room (even with suites). The freezer didn’t work either, which is a major inconvenience if you need to store breastmilk or ice packs.
Cleanliness was disappointing too—there were stains in both the bathtub and on the bed sheets.
The only upside was the excellent soundproofing. Even though the hotel is located right at the harbor, you won’t hear the ferries. That said, if you book a west-facing room, don’t expect a great view—ferries may be docked there, blocking it.
