Great location and trim but think twice re breaky
Location is great walking distance to ferries great restaurants in safe location. Room was great size and well appointed with coffeee pod machine and comfortable bed. Housekeeping perfect. Breakfast buffet - okay so we travel a lot around the world and have had some great hotel breakfasts to compare this to. I get this hotel is in Hong Kong so i expect there to be a large Asian cuisine offering however the western options were limited by comparison. The coffee was not drinkable to me and way too strong - there is a machine for self service but we kept getting ushered away to order form the table probably due to congestion. Not much point when then coffee ordered form table is terrible. There appeared to be no actual butter most days just a white substance that was sliced on a plate looked like feta cheese but clearly supposed to be butter or margarine of some type. A couple of times we were seated under a cooling vent which was freezing and asked to be moved to vacant two person tables but apparently the window seats are reserved for higher paying guests. We largely found the male wait staff in the restaurant to be abrupt and not accommodating so we stopped asking and on the last day my husband completely skipped breakfast which is unlike him. I just went and got a coffee. To be honest the whole breakfast thing put us off doing the dinner buffet and afternoon tea at the hotel which is something we have done many times at the Melbourne and Sydney langham .

The room and hotel are dated. The morning breakfast buffet is not very good at all compared to the holiday in nearby or compare to the langham Shanghai. The high tea area is much nicer. I was travelling for business. General staff were courteous and nice.

The property looks aged and the room was nice and big. The TV channels were limited for such a hotel with more channels on news/financial that may be more appropriate for business guests. The toilet flush was difficult to use. It needs at least 2-3 flush to flush properly.

This is a conveniently located hotel with very good service and lovely staff. However, the hotel needs some updating. I had a premier room which looked like it was last updated in the 90’s. Especially the bathroom - the toilet flush stopped working a couple of times and there was always a waft of sewage that you could even smell from the bedroom.

The Langham is in a great location because TST is good for shopping, eating out and tourist attractions. My only gripes were 1, our rooms were not ready when we arrived. Check in is 3pm and our rooms were not ready until past 5pm. And 2, The City View room was not sound proof from the main road - Kowloon Park Drive. We didn’t need the air con so the cars accelerating down the empty road thoughout the night was not great. And you could hear workmen working in the night, loading vans, making metal like clanging noises or if they raised their voices. Also didn’t get a turn down service which I expect from a 5* hotel. The Food Gallery restaurant could do with an upgrade. From the decor and setting it didn’t feel like it belonged to a 5* hotel. The staff at the hotel however were 5*. The WhatsApp messaging service was responsive. And housekeeping requests were tended to quickly.

The Langham is a lovely hotel in the middle of Kowloon. The lobby is a fragrant oasis and the service is very good. We had two rooms for four nights. Although comfortable, they were feeling a bit scuffed and outdated. The pool area is a bit disappointing, like an after thought.
