Villa was ok at best , TV , Wifi don’t work trust me. Housekeeping was poor. Staff were very nice. This place is a 2 star maybe and needs a lot of renovations . Beach was a fair walk away but beautiful beach. Note after 2 PM each day the tide retreats with nothing but mud flats so better swim early. Pools are clean.

Enjoyable stay
We enjoyed our 3 nights at Sand Sea Hotel. It is a very big hotel with entrance on both sides of Railay. I was glad I requested a room near pool on Western side. The staff are lovely and very efficient. Our room was very nice but we didn't have hot water on one day. The shower did lack maintenance. The pool didn't have enough shade so it would be good if they had a staff member watching deck chairs that are "reserved" with towels only for the guests to leave for hours and return when they were ready. The breakfast buffet was good and I would like to return.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Railay is amazing for a few relaxing days. Sand Sea Resort staff were friendly and helpful, facilities were perfect and the monkeys were special to see!

Fantastic location of the property right on Railay beach. Steps away from Pra Nang beach (even more beautiful). Beachfront restaurant is a must do to watch the sunsets. Our bungalow was very private but more on the 'rustic' side. Activities were quite limited, but with Walking street, Railay, Pra Nang & West Railay beaches nearby one can other things to spend the time.

Amazing location, but a bit run down. Strange furnishings, very hard and springy mattress and old lumpy pillows made for tough sleep. Common areas such as reception and pools need some updates. We had a lot of problems with our room. Power wasn’t working when we checked in, so we had to wait through engineers figuring it out and getting it fixed. That kept happening. Second night, AC went out at 2am and the phone went dead also so we could’t call reception. It was raining hard and our room was a LONG walk to reception, so we just dealt…and then checked out a day early the next morning. No refund or apologies. Great spot, but pick your room wisely…

Our stay at Sand Sea Resort was amazing. The room was clean, large and well set up. In the morning, there was a family of monkeys playing in the tree touching our balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful in setting up boat transfers and airport transportation. On the day we left, we had to leave before breakfast was available and they prepared a to go box for us. They are right off the beach and there are multiple pools available.

Good location, run down resort.
The location is amazing but the resort is extremely outdated. The entire place is poor maintained. We stayed in one of their expensive villas. The water pressure in the bathroom was non existent. The outdoor shower was so filthy and they never swept the hairs from the floors.

Perfect Family Holiday!
Our family had a marvelous time at Sand Sea Resort. Lazy breakfast in the morning, great variety of food and a chef preparing all kind of egg’s related food (omelet, scrambled and so on…) surrounded by nature, path from the room to the beach (very close, my 2yo son walked by himself easily) was beautiful, very well maintained garden. Pool also was very clean and nice layout. Plenty of sun chairs to guests, we could always find one available. Food was good from the restaurant, but mostly we couldn’t resist going to “Walking Street” just a few steps away to try street food and others restaurants. Room was very spacious, daily service impeccable. I want to mention it was good for kids, bathtub and hand shower available. Nice lounge chairs in the room too. Good hair dryer (thank you for whom provided that). And the best of all: super friendly staff, specially with kids! They noticed it was my kid 3 years old birthday and surprised us making the bed special for him and also showed up in our room with a cute “Happy Birthday Cake”, they made it unforgettable! I highly recommend this hotel, family friendly or for couples, it’s really great and convenient.
