The hotel is literally on the train track!!! I was shocked when I got there, asked for a room not facing the train, got an unappreciated stink eye from the reception guy (seriously not cool), he did give me a side room so didn't hear the train at night. Far from the main attractions. Seems most of the people staying are Polish with a car, if you are like me, without a car, stay elsewhere, everything between walking to the tram, waiting for the tram and the ride itself is 40-45 minutes away The room is tiny however it is the only place so far in Poland with conditioner, not just shampoo, as well as body lotion, which was a nice change....we are used to having these everywhere in the US, in Poland it was a nice treat

Excellent value for money. The onsite restaurant is excellent for dinner and the service there in the evening was faultless. The only downside is the distance to the centre of Krakow. However, public transport is nearby and convenient.

Convenient place to sleep

It's conveniently located next to the train station and a short-walk from the tram station, heading into the Old Town was a breeze every day. Very comfortable room, with plenty of space and amenities.

clean but small

I think as more of a fault of hotels.com than the Garden square as the actual hotel website lists the square feet of the room and hotels.com did not. The room was quite small and the chairless balcony overlooked the train and highway. Location is not easily walkable although parking available and public transit close. On the plus side, the staff were kind, room was clean, and breakfast was good.

Fantastic hotel. Convenient to town and Auschwitz. Book a complimentary stay in sauna in advance. we were lucky enough to enjoy! Dinner at restaurant was also good. Breakfast was very good and dinner waiter was fantastic.
