Walking distance to wawal castle Walking distance to old Town Square The hotel is located in old Town 20 min walk to krakow gowny station which travels to and from the airport for approximately $4.00 The buffet breakfast is excellent

Amazing and accommodating staff, super convenient area to stay in. Parking is sort of first come first serve so you might have to park elsewhere if the capacity of the lot is full.

The hotel was nice overall, but our room was facing a very busy street, and when we closed the windows it would get very hot. Even with the windows open the room stayed hot and stuffy.

Good hotel
Very clean room and staff were always welcoming and helpful. Only downfall was having a double bed but only a single duvet, think it would have been more comfortable having a duvet to fit the bed. Overall a nice hotel and great location.

Worn-out but clean hotel in a fantastic location
The Hotel Royal is in a truly royal location, just around the corner from the landmark Wawel castle and a short walk from both the town center and the old Jewish quarter. It is, however, desperately in need of renovation and modernization. That makes it perfect for the budget traveler, since a hotel in this location would ordinarily be either very expensive or very bad. The Royal is clean, pleasant, and "good enough" -- though run-down with very old furniture and fittings.

Rather shocked when we arrived at the hotel as it was surrounded by barricades with a digger working at the back of the hotel. We had not been informed of this refurbishment! It was however a beautiful building and installed de if a little dated was nice. The staff were friendly and the breakfast good, though more fly covers are needed over the food. It is very convenient for most sights around Kraków l.

We stayed in a massive room, which was great - probably the largest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The room was also warm enough. Really impressive bathroom - clean, nicely tiled with a good shower. Our room was regularly cleaned. The hotel itself is in a fabulous position, very close to Krakow Castle. Breakfast was good - lots of choice. Coffee was good too. There is a car park at the hotel as well. Would definitely stay here again, mainly due to the location - kind of in between the impressive main square of Krakow and the equally impressive Jewish quarter. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Highly recommend
Fabulous room really large and had obviously had been refurbished very recently. Bathroom was also fabulous in size and condition. Receptionist on arrival was very helpful. The front entrance was a little messy due to ongoing works. The position of this Hotel is absolutely ideal as it is right next to Wawel Castle and a 5 minute walk to the main square. In fact we were in walking distance to all the museums and places we wanted to see. All in all a great Hotel.
