Overall a very conveniently located, modern and elegant hotel. Due to CNY holidays there were a lot more tourists than professionals. And the queues for breakfast very long. Although understandable, they could have predicted this and opened up alternative spaces to have breakfast.
The reason for low stars is the unprofessional behaviour shown by the servers and cleaners after breakfast buffet closed. The buffet closes at 10:30am although guests are usually still around for another 30 mins or so like any other hotel. And the staff keep their voices low topping up coffee etc for a few remaining guests. But not the Mandarin Oritenal
KL. Unusually, the cleaning crews started to descend at 10:35am and the extremely high pitched talking and clanging of utensils was very odd for a premium property. Many properties end breakfast at the usual time although I have yet to see a hotel where the staff went about talking loudly, removing left over food with pits and pans clinging, and guffawing as well as back slapping each other. Not one day but all three days. Just something that the hotel can easily improve upon by coaching staff. Thank you.
