I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Mandarin Oriental KL. I was traveling with my very chatty 8-year-old son and every single staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, patient, and kind. They made both of us feel completely at home and welcomed from the moment we arrived. The location is unbeatable, right next to Suria KLCC and the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. The view from our room was stunning, especially at night when the towers lit up. The food was fantastic, and the overall atmosphere was calm, elegant, and very family-friendly. Thank you so much to everyone at the Mandarin Oriental for making this trip so special. You created a beautiful memory for my son and me. The hotel is lovely and the location is great. You have the Petronas towers walking distance away as you walk through a shopping mall just next door! There’s also a food court in the mall with such a variety of foods. I would definitely recommend. This hotel.

The property was not only a beautiful design with much attention to detail being paid to not only the aesthetics, but also the practicality of all areas. I do not have any accessibility requirements however it was nice to see that this was also considered in the design. The staff...well, they were also excellent. Very friendly, always greeting you and nothing was ever any trouble (but they had thought of everything anyway). I only had breakfast at the hotel but this was also excellent (variety and quality), with everything you could possibly want to eat! I really enjoyed my stay and I hope to go again one day.

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price Rooms are extremely outdated with worn-out furniture—definitely not what you’d expect at this price point. When we checked in, housekeeping had left someone else’s sock in the room. Even worse, the shower water was brown during half of our stay, and the only response from reception was to “wait.” No heads-up that breakfast wasn’t included—just an unexpected charge at checkout. After all this, I requested a simple 2-hour late checkout and was denied—only given 30 minutes—forcing us to walk around with our infant in 90°F heat. I’m done with this place and won’t be returning.

Grand hotel good location

Good location and five star service throughput, this is a classy establishment and has a grand style. Location and facilities are good, great shopping and dining options available and close to Petronas towers however a tour would require booking in advance before your stay. The rooms are starting to look a little dated however all adds to the charm.
