Kuta Paradiso - The VIP benefits they provide are first rate as you would expect from a resort rated as 5 Star. But the reality of a 5 Star resort as many would expect is just not there. The staff are to be commended on trying their utmost to keep a dated 31 year hotel afloat. The overseas owners of this resort have spent the bare minimum to keep up an image they say is 5 Star but is truly not. The staff are confronted on a daily basis with guests that are not happy with their rooms, and we were one of them. From no cold water in our first room, to a giant ant infestation in the second room bathroom we moved into and then the next room had green mould on the inside bathroom door, and a water leak onto the bathroom floor beside the toilet as well, then a broken box spring mattress, and one pillow that had an awful smell that my wife refused to lay her head apron. I know what the reply will be from the guest relations manger, that they will adjust and make changes to improve, but without the financial commitment from the owners to support the wonderful team that work for them, and give the guests something memorable to remember, then all will remain the same. Give it a try and see for yourself if the owner would stay in one of the rooms. I would say the answer would be honestly no.
