I had a room that power was faulty, bathroom Sink clogged and stunk, shower leaked, fridge didnt work and after their several attempts to rectify, it remained the same so I insisted on 3rd day to be moved to another room. This room was much better. Dissapointed that there was no balcony to sit on outside room.

Mamaka turned out to be an excellent place to stay for us. We needed something close to the airport for a few nights. The rooms were Clean and the staff were attentive . The breakfasts were wonderful as was the pool. We had trouble with our for not locking twice and the staff took care of it quickly. The negative aspects were the slow internet in our room and the loud music at night. We had super long flights and a 15 hour time difference so we went to sleep early.

Not often I don’t want to leave, but this is one of those times. Stellar location on Kuta beach, caring and happy staff, good food options onsite, pool and rooftop are amazing, the gym is very nice and the vibe is really good. Rooms (we stayed in a couple of Queen rooms) are very clean and serviceable (hopefully one is not spending too much time inside in Bali!) bathrooms are small side for us Americans, but no complaints. The service staff work overtime to keep things neat and clean. Always with a happy smile. Restaurant staff, especially on 1st/2nd floor restaurant were superior. Special thanks to Bima, Ersa, Citra, Birdie, among many others…💗 My smile-o-meter readings were off the charts! ;) Overall, one of the best values I have ever seen. My partner, her friend and I really, really, really enjoyed our stay…thank you Mamaka! We will be back…✌💗🙏

Lovely property/room, uber comfy beds and very clean room. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Great facilities and loved the rooftop bar/pool. Great location in Kuta for walking around street stalls and the mall, and right across from the beach. Would give 4.5 stars if we could as the only downfall for us was the noise that made it into the room from outside (rooftop bars/restaurants/street and from the hallway). I absolutely recommend (just bring airplugs if you are an early/light sleeper).

Lovely, vibes hotel with an awesome pool area and the Kuta Social club on the rooftop is amazing. Staff is super friendly and helpful and the hotel has everything you need. One awesome perk is the kitchen and bar downstairs is open 24hrs.

5th floor stay. next door is Tribe - Sunday morning at 6.46 am the doof doof breakfast music starts. Loud enough to wake! Try to avoid 5th floor as the sounds from the trolleys on rooftop also come through the ceiling.

The sound proofing of room can be improved. The thin curtain of window area could not prevent adjacent units from peeping through thus it was lack of privacy to a ceryain extent. Other than that, the staff are polite and helpful.

Great spot, especially given all the amenities and customer service. Worth noting that there is a rooftop pool which is fun during the day, but the music can be quite loud and heard from within the rooms.

They tried to scam us
This was our second time at the Mamaka. Our first experience was great so we thought we would stay again. This time was absolutely sub par. The service was average at best, and the food quality was far less than last visit. We had decided to do the free flow oysters at the roof top patio - all you can eat for 60 minutes. Well... heres the catch, the oysters are supposed to be free flow but they bring 5 oysters at a time and take 20-25 minutes to arrive. The servers took their sweet time coming to check on our table and when we had ordered our second round of oysters they decided to send a second waitress to our table who came back to say our time was up and they wanted to bill us for additional oysters - even though we had paid for free flow which was four times the price of what they had brought to us. After speaking with the manager they had decided to try and blame us for multiple staff coming by to take our orders abd saying that our time was up as the 60 mins had past. Thankfully, we had time-stamped photos to verify that they were incorrect abd that we were indeed still within the timeframe.We will not be back again - the staff after we had spoke to the manager never came back to check on us for the next 45 minutes until we went to the front to request our bill. So sad that a hotel that had left such a good memory for us the first time has flopped so bad and I would recommend anyone coming to Bali and the Kuta area to avoid this hotel like their life depended on it.

Cool Bali beats!
Location is excellent for renting a surf board across the street at the beach, or even take lessons from the onsite RipCurl surf school. My room was well furnished, clean, modern with WIFI and international cable channels. Walking distance to anything and anywhere of significance in the Kuta area. The hotel gym is adequately equipped, as well as free clothes washing and drying facilities. They even supply the washing powder! The level one restaurant is great for both breakfast and dinner, as well as the rooftop bar and pool make for a fantastic experience. Nightly bands for a few hours can be a bit loud but I really enjoyed the tunes. Would definitely recommend!
