During our stay we stayed at multiple APA hotel locations in different cities. This APA hotel was farther out from the train station although it posed to be closer to it when we were booking it. There were only busses that we could take however there were multiple bus stops right infront and across the street from the hotel which made it accessible. The location of the hotel is on a main road. It was incredibly loud at night with ambulances, and loud cars all night every night. There were a few restaurants walking distance but if they were full, places ended up being farther away and not easily accessible without a car. One night we chose a sushi place 5 mins walk from the hotel, which was full and before we knew it we were out walking for over an hour just trying to get to the next place we could find space and the ratings were decent. The hotel restaurant only does breakfast and no other meals. Thankfully there are a couple convenience stores like a Family Mart and Lawson across the street which helped. This is the newest location and hotel. We loved the room size, amenities, the bathroom, the TV in the room and options to cast on TV the best out of all other APA hotels we stayed at.

Spent 3 nights in August with family. Hotel is in a very good condition. I believe it is even brand new. The rooms have a decent size and the beds are comfortable. There is however little room for your luggages, so it might be difficult dealing with multiple bags. They provide a duvet, even during summer, which will.make you feel hot during the night. If you are like me, that will wake you up quite easily. The shower has great pressure. After a long day of walking, it makes all the difference. On top of it, they provide a Japanese bathrobe and sandals, which makes the whole experience enjoyable. There are a few restaurants and coffee shops around, if you are willing to walk at least 10min. The bus stop is also close by, and makes it easy to go to Kiyomizedera. There's a JR station not too far, 10min or so. To go to Kyoto station, it was far faster to take an Uber.
