I booked a female-only Japanese style room and I was put in a (cheaper) bunk bed room and 3 middle aged men showed up. I advised that I had booked a female only room and the host just said sorry only mixed room available. The property does not have a dryer as stated- so I washed my clothes and they were wet at 10pm and I had no way of drying them. The beds do not have plug sockets by the beds, just on the wall so they don’t reach to the top bunk. The check in process involves you speaking to someone on video chat. It was overall bad. The place was also hard to find in the dark

The accommodations were spartan but clean we had the "Family Room", the owner very nice and helpful. The bathroom and shower were fine. The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together.It is 15 minute walk to the station and to Byodo-in (main attraction in Uji) There are no food options close by but kitchen access was available. The only real problem is that for anyone who has mobility issues, access to the room was 2 flights of very steep narrow stairs.

I would mot recommend this accommodation. The location is great, but it is barely enough equipped, not very clean, and there is no other way than to disturb the host to get in the house every time you come in. It could be a nice place to stay if the host improves it, but as it is, it is definitely not worth the price!

寝れません。

チェックインは、遠隔操作で、開かなかった。電話してもでない。 一般の3DKの改装で、板戸の反対がキッチンで隣の部屋に音が筒抜けで、遅くに戻った人達の食事音、会話が筒抜けで寝付くのに苦労しました。 隣のベットの海外からの来訪者の会話は、24時まで続きました。 深夜の会話は、駄目なことが伝わっていない。
