Staff was very helpful after a mixup in room size. Be careful when booking children, the assumption is they will sleep in the same double bed as parent. But once this came up the staff was very helpful in resolving. Very clean and in a nice area of town convenient to nightlife and dining.

We had a lovely stay at this conveniently located hotel. Situated just a short walk from Teramachi Market and a quick 5-minute walk from the train station, it made exploring the area a breeze. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, with Matsuda at reception going above and beyond to assist us promptly. As a special touch, the hotel offered a complimentary glass of sake each day, which was a delightful addition to our stay. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore the area.

Fabulous location. Super easy to get around and within 10 minute walk to Nishiki Market and Gion. Overall hotel was great, but the cleaning service left all the empty bottles even on full cleaning days... other than that it was very clean and we would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Great location, really nice atmosphere and decoration, comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Kyoto. Only drawback I'd say was there was a sign of the shop below over our window so we had barely any visibility and ended up not using our window at all because of this. So recommend avoiding staying on a lower floor if possible.

Very good location. The rooms were not the cleanest as the headboard area was a bit dusty and there were stains on the couch. Bathroom, blankets, towels, etc were clean. Staff were great. Wifi is really poor at night. Overall, it was a good stay.

Forza experience was incredible! My husband and I only stayed for 2 nights but would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is beautiful, staff very friendly, & INCREDIBLE breakfast!! We would stay here again solely for the breakfast accommodation. However, the hotel room was spacious as well as the bed & pillows were comfortable. It was walking distance to everything including the bus station (10 min). We highly recommend!

March 2025 trip

Had an amazing time in Kyoto all thanks to Hotel Forza + staff. Hotel Forza was recommended by a family member and they did not disappoint. I arrived later then planned and had communicated that to the hotel in advanced. They were very accommodating and even wished me safe travels. The Takkyubin service made traveling to the next area easier especially since we stopped along the way for another attraction and was worried about availability of coin lockers at the station. There was a free Sake tasting event too! The location of the hotel is very convenient especially when I have to travel very early the next day. There are many stations and bus stops nearby. The humidifier in the room was a great addition. When I come back to Kyoto, I definitely want to stay at Hotel Forza again.
