The room is spacious for a family of 6. The futons were comfortable. The location convenient, walking distance to shopping and places to eat. The staff were accomadating and eager to help. We had daily supply of water (1 bottle each) and fresh towels.

The rooms were TINY! They should not be meant for 2 adults and a child. There is not enough space to open up one bag. However, if you are traveling alone or as a couple with a small amount of luggage then there rooms would work out. Apparently there are a few larger room options but they weren't available when we booked 5 weeks in advance. The hotel staff was very nice, overall the hotel was clean, the area was great, easily walkable to the best sites in Kyoto.

Overall the hotel left a very good impression. A small issue with the cleanliness of the bathroom however the exceptional staff were very helpful in rectifying the issue. It's conveniently located and I look forward to staying here on my next visit to Kyoto.

Fabulous Hotel in the heart of Kyoto
We loved everything about Hotel Gran MS Kyoto, the staff were so very friendly and could not have been more helpful, they went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. The location was perfect for seeing the sights and our room was very clean and comfortable

Cleanliness: 5/5 - All that I can ask for are clean linens and towels. Service: 4/5 - Hospitable staff. Comfort: 4/5 - The room was pretty spacious. While it was comfy the only issue is that in lieu of black out curtains there was a sliding panel that only covered part of the window. Noise: 5/5 - The hotel room was nice and quiet for us!

My stay here started on a weird note as unbeknownst to me, there was a small leak in the ceiling of my room that dripped into my shoes all night on the first day. Once I informed the staff of the leak, they offered to move me to a different room and bonus for me it was significantly bigger. The staff here are friendly, approachable, and attentive. The hotel is is a very convenient place with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Overall I was happy to stay here.
