Hotel Granvia sits above Kyoto Station, it is a very long hotel, so there maybe some walikng required before you reach your room. The rooms are spacious with everything you require to make your stay pleasent, maybe just a few more english tv channels would be nice. The hotel is in a great location and is walking distance to a lot of the big temples, shrines and big department stores. It also has the added convenience of quick access to the main train and bus services.

For convenience you can’t beat the location inside the futuristic Kyoto train station. And if you’ve got a busy schedule of sightseeing the convenient bus station in front takes you to most places for less than $2. The hotel itself is still well maintained and the deluxe rooms w/ tower view are gorgeous. However we rated them 4* for service because we weren’t allowed to drop off bags in the room at 2:40 because check in was at 3:00. We decided to head off as most sights close at 5:00 & returned to hotel at 7:30 (after dinner) to pick up keys packet which had a lot of dinner special coupons which we would’ve used if we’d been allowed to check in.

Extremely convenient location. Easily connects with all manner of transportation, Just outside the hotel! First class service from top to bottom. They even gave us an upgraded room for free. Very good buffet breakfast if you get the meal plan.

We stayed in 5 different places in Japan and our stay at the Granvia qas absolutely the best experience - right from checkin, to great staff service amd attention, wonderful breakfast buffet and the executive club was the best we experienced!! And the loxation rightvat Kyoto station - cant beat that! All this, at a very reasonable price point! Rate out stay at the GranVia as numero uno!!👍👍🙏🙏
