Check-in staff at front desk was friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the hotel spa and mineral baths. Locker rooms were clean and the relaxation room was quiet. We also liked the variety of food choices you served at the buffet breakfast. Thank you for a nice stay!

Magnificent stay. This is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. All staff were extremely helpful and even helped me contact the JR rail people after I left my passport on the train. The spa is amazing, and the location cannot be beat. I was genuinely sad to leave.

Great location and friendly staff. The only drawback is that some people using the onsen are unable to read, not understanding that they need to shower before entering the onsen. Otherwise, perfect.

Great hotel with a great onsen

This was a great stay and we would come back here again for sure. We got the room with the king bed and i have never seen a king bed like this. It was gigantic! You could have easily put 4 people in there! It was also comfortable. We used the onsite onsen and it was wonderful. It had about 4-5 pools, one was cold which i loved and one was outside. It was very clean and very enjoyable and had many amenities. There was a restaurant on site, but we didn't eat there. There was a fridge in the room but it didn't have a freezer compartment.

Glad to have spent our anniversary at Hotel Monterey Kyoto. Facilities were great with the use of the baths for all guests. We wished that guests could still access the baths on the day of check out since staying there for numerous days. The cleaners were helpful and delivered new towels when we requested it.

This hotel is beautiful inside and the room was much bigger than we expected. Family Mart is right next door so I cannot stress how convenient that was to my family. Close to bus and subway, close to the main shopping street. The old part of Kyoto was very close too. I would stay here again next time I visit.

The property and area is fine but the front staff/ attendants are not very nice almost seems to be discriminating. When you go ask the front desk staffs for help or service, they don’t take an effort to help you, just replies quickly to get rid of you.
