Tons of big tour groups constantly blocking lobby. Third bed was like sleeping on a board. VERY old bathroom, tub super high, and smelly. Towels are very old and worn. Bathroom stinks So uncomfortable, asked to check out early and they said NO.

The location was very convenient to subways, Shinkansen trains, shopping & restaurants. However, my room was in the South Tower, which was not renovated,ie carpets were faded & stained. Best to ask for a room in the Main building. Had a bit of an issue with checking in with machines as it did not accept my credit card & was then redirected to front desk reception. All in all, ok to stay for 3 nights.

Hotel space is bigger than what most Japanese hotels has to offer. Bed and pillows were comfy. It has all the amenities you need inside the room such as hairdryer, iron, coffee, tea, toiletries, etc. They also have a free distilled water where you can fill up your water bottles everyday. Very very close proximity to the Kyoto station so, very convenient when traveling. Restaurants are everywhere as well. The mall is also right beside the hotel. Highly recommended! Will definitely stay here again.

Great location- however arbitrary check in. Where you can only check in at 2pm. So all guests are waiting, making the wait time more extensive than necessary. Check in automated machines- did not work for myself and observation most international guests. We were then re required to line up to check in. This process and work flow needs to be reviewed. Cute rooms, clean. But no gym facilities or water provided in the room.

During my stay in Japan this was the best hotel I stayed. The room was big and comfortable. Clean, staff friendly and is front of Kyoto station which has many options to eat. Besides that is beside a very good mall with many options to dine and shop. The only thing to say is that the bathroom has a low ceiling which made us feel a little claustrophobic .

This hotel was very conveniently located near the Kyoto train station which was our means for traveling throughout our 3 week visit to Japan. It was also the largest room of the 6 hotels we stayed in. The room was dated, but we just needed a comfortable bed to sleep in at night and that was provided. Although the bathtub, sink and toilet appeared clean, I was disappointed to find a hair that was not ours on the shower wall, along with a washcloth that was either dirty or stained.

One of the best places to stay for touring Kyoto

A high end hotel for very reasonable price. Professional and friendly staff, comfortable and well equipped and maintained room, very good breakfast with abundant selection provided in a most comfortable and spacious restaurant, easy check-in/out process, conveniently located near Kyoto Station. Additionally, in room massage available for the end of a day filled with exhausting tour activities.
