We had a great stay at Nohga hotel! The hotel is conveniently located about an 8 minute walk from the train station, and walking distance from Kiyomizu temple and the famous Sanenzaka and Ninenzaka streets. The hotel has a modern organic style, cute lobby with bakery that was always bustling, and a great rooftop bar with great cocktails and views. Every staff member was extremely polite and friendly, and the service was top notch. Our room was on the smaller side but was thoughtfully laid out and had everything we needed and was very clean, and it was enough space to open our luggage which is more than many Japanese hotels. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great place to stay in Kyoto!!

Absolutely Beautiful hotel, you feel like you are in an Oasis. Room was clean, comfortable and stylish. The rooftop bar and restaurant were wonderful, and breakfast was delicious. Very close to the Gion district, with lots of close by shopping, restaurants and attractions. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommend staying here!

10 mins taxi ride from Kyoto station. We used taxis as lines for buses were really long during Sakura season. Taxis came within 5 mins each time. Use the “Go taxi app” Hotel is fantastic. Rooms are modest size for Japan. We had a king bed. Very comfortable. Our room was sound proofed. Couldn’t hear anyone. Breakfast was great and the roof top bar was very nice. Overall a 5 star experience for my wife and I. We just visited this past(2025) cherry blossom season. March 31 to April 5th
