We chose this hotel mainly for the spa and proximity to mount Fuji but I did not expect the views we received in the morning.
We were blessed with clear skies and saw Mount Fuji in all of its glory.
The room(s) were spacious and the bath tub was nice and comfortable.
The property is a tad dated though in the sense that each room is operated with a key and not a keycard
The hot baths at this hotel, make it. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was very clean and quiet. We had a family room which was a little bit cramped for the two of us and our two preteens but we made do. Beds were comfortable. They definitely kept the clean towels coming, which was very nice. Service was very good and friendly.
The hotel is quite large with many guests which can make for a crowded experience. In addition, all guests have to remove shoes upon entry which adds an unnecessary (in my view) obstacle when getting in and out of the hotel. However the major issue was the rooms are very small.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We stayed here in Jan of 2024 and loved it. In our second stay in March 2025, the condition of the property had noticeably deteriorated likely due to overuse, as it is a very, very popular hotel. I don’t have much bad things to say, would just note that due to the size of the hotel it can feel a bit crowded at times.
Such an amazing experience, the hotel itself was beautiful and easily accessible with less than a 10min walk from the main station. Once you arrive at the hotel, you have to take off your shoes and put them in shoe lockers - the hotel itself has beautiful tatami mats throughout, with the most stunning rooms! The onsen/public bath itself was fantastic, with several different baths (I loved the milky one the most) and the best massage chairs I've ever used with free yakult and popsicles offered as well to keep you hydrated from being in the baths. We were also able to easily use the luggage delivery service direct at the hotel to send our things to our next stay. Beautiful hotel, easy access, would definitely stay again!
This place was amazing…the onsen, free ramen, free ice cream, free washing machine use and wonderful staff. I would stay here again and actually elongated my stay at this hotel because of the onsen. Highly recommend.
Amazing. So nice. We didn't go for the breakfast because it's quite expensive for our taste, but hear it was worth it. The afternoon snack changes seasonally and the onsen is a dream.
This is such a quiet oasis, walking from the Kyoto station just over the bridge. Need to take a taxi or bus to other locations but the hotel rooms and amenities here are so worth it.
Staff was very helpful and professional. They have massage chairs that guest can use for free after a long day of walking. They also have free nightly ramen for all guests.
Incredibly kind staff, beautiful facilities, the welcome gifts and various “freebies” were a lovely surprise, and the onsen was so relaxing. An absolutely fantastic stay.
Amazing experience! Onsens were great, service was wonderful, they provided 2 stickers to cover tattoos per person to participate in onsen. We were able to get more from the pharmacy across the road. Great amenities. Very comfortable and a good size room for our family of four.
By far the best place we stayed in Japan. My 10 year old loved every minute of the hotel. The onsens were amazing and the message chairs were such a bonus!! We did not want to leave!!
