Great location, good food options, nice wel connected neighborhood with lots of sights, centrally placed. Helpful kind staff and flexible room cleaning options. No laundry in room but paid laundry on site that was free at off hours. Would stay again.

A Great Sotetsu Inn in Kyoto

Second time visiting Kyoto and stayed at this Sotetsu inn in the Gojo area. Got upgraded to a more spacious room, which is quiet and comfortable. You can take buses directly to many sights in Kyoto near this hotel, and the Shijo shopping street is only a short walk from this hotel.

Great hotel! Staff were super helpful, room was clean and quite modern. Had a great stay here and would highly recommend. Close to several stations and only a 15 min walk from Kyoto station if you’re picking up the bullet train.

This hotel is conveniently located for the bus and subway, meaning we were able to go all over the city to see the sights easily. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good shower and wash products in the compact bathroom. Beds are firm but comfortable enough. Air conditioning was a great antidote to the heatwave. We had enough room to open our suitcase too, making it larger than our Tokyo hotels. The breakfast was sufficient even though we are vegetarians, though I missed the fresh fruits, mochi, cakes, juice, noodle and egg options offered in other hotels. They did provide cute little origami figures for guests though, which was a nice touch. The laundry room worked well though you had to queue and wait for machines to finish to get a slot. The ice machine and microwaves were handy too. They also provide sachets of cleanser, moisturiser etc and teabags, toothbrushes, even pyjamas! So we felt looked after. But no ice water or tea/coffee is available outside of breakfast, and the breakfast is in the entrance lobby, which was a little strange aesthetically.

Great stay at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kyoto- Kiyomizu Goju. Staff are very helpful, friendly and very welcoming. Rooms are very clean and daily housekeeping is provided, if requested. Excellent amenities and the hotel has everthing you need for a comfortable stay. Beds were comfortable and I liked the pillow options. The location is perfect- 7mins walking distance from Gojo station; one station away from Kyoto station. The hotel is walking distance to the some of the big food markets and shopping streets. Overall, I had a safe and excellent stay and would recommend the hotel.

The hotel was new and clean. Walking distance to train stations. The hotel was able to hold my luggage’s before and after my stay, staffs are helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel.
