Peaceful gem in Kyoto

Fabulous hotel close to everything. Polite and thorough check in. Clean room with quality inclusions. Guest room on B1 with coffee and cold drinks and snacks and ice creams.

Very nice hotel. Very clean and the rooms were spacious and nice. Could be a little loud at night due to the fire station across the street. You may want ear plugs to sleep well. Very nice onsen and rest area. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Facility is very nice! Location is surrounded by residential area, not in the busy tourist shopping/dining area, it's about 1 mile walk to the sightseeing places( Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu-dera). In a 98F degree day, we just took taxi cuz it was too hot to walk, about $10 ride to nearby tourist places. Room is big and clean. There is public bath in the basement level with some drinks and free ice creams for all guests when we came back from outings, which was quiet nice.

So we had a great a stay besides the checkout process. The man at the front was extremely unaccommodating, and charged us for a “lost key” even though we informed him we left it in our room. This encounter was unappreciated, and very unnecessary. He runied our stay and made it and we do not want to return.
