I literally cannot say enough good things about this beautiful property. By far our favorite hotel when we stayed in Japan. It is clean, staff is SO nice, and the hotel itself is gorgeous. Rooms are super spacious and there is a Lawson and 7/11 right outside. I would highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely be staying again!

Very nice, clean, and comfortable hotel! Very close to train line, so that is a plus. Breakfast was very nice with great options each day. Staff was very friendly! I would stay at this hotel again in the future.

We loved this hotel! Everything is easy to walk to and there are train stations near by. By staying here we were able to experience some of the quieter, local places to eat which were delicious. The rooms were nice although could have been made bigger by removing a chair or 2 that was in the room. We would definitely stay here again

Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Lovely staff throughout the hotel. We stayed in a room with ‘no view’ but it had plenty of natural daylight and a window that opened. The room was a really good size, comfortable and very clean.The shower was spacious and modern. The hotel is close to the subway and within walking distance of many of the sights. Complimentary afternoon tea and evening drinks were a really nice touch. We are really glad we chose to stay here.

Iconic Royal Park hotel in Kyoto

Excellent hotel to stay at in Tokyo. Friendly staff, took care of all requests. Hotel had nice touches include a complimentary afternoon tea/ pastry service and a happy hour service in the evening. Easy access to subway and Kyoto sights. Recommend highly

Wonderful room and breakfast, and as a huge bonus there was an included lounge area with a fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, and free drinks and snacks in the evening. Very close to metro station, in a quiet and safe area of Kyoto. Excellent service from the staff, who also spoke good English and were very kind and accommodating to us and other international guests. Thank you for a great stay while we visited Kyoto!

Room & location were excellent but the reception was quite hostile and unhelpful at times. On my last day, I approached reception at 10:30 am (check out was 11am). I wanted to ask the receptionist a few questions before checking out but she just took my card and proceeded to checkout. I asked her if she could help me call a restaurant to see if it was open (NOT to make any reservation) but the lady insisted I had already checked out so she could not help me. I was shocked since I assume she would need to help me if she would let me ask this question before checking out (but she just took my card and would NOT listen to me as previously mentioned). She kept refusing to help and said it was hotel policy she cannot help guests who have already checked out (even if it was only 1 minute ago). Her supervisor noted the incident and offered to help himself. I felt grateful he was here to intervene and help. Afterwards the lady kept saying “ok bye bye, ok bye bye” as if to shoo my mother and I away even though I wasn’t ready to leave yet (my car had not arrived). I asked for her name and she took her name badge off and hid in the staff room for the remaining time after. It’s a shame the female receptionist left such a hostile, unfriendly, unprofessional impression. She is in urgent need of training.
