Roach motel
This is a roach hotel. It stinks as soon as you walk in, it was dingy and the pool was out of service. Our room had holes in the wall, the fire detector was not installed just wires hanging out of the wall. The carpets was dirty we asked for a service cleaning they never showed. The sheets were stained, thankfully we brought our own just in case. Will never go back

Absolutely do not stay here or book through Expedia. We booked online through Expedia and showed up to find the hotel was completely booked. They then cancelled my reservation in front of me and told me there should be no problem with Expedia. 1 week later and the charge is still on my card. After a terrible time with Expedias chat only customer service, they called the hotel and they confirmed we stayed there. Absolutely ridiculous. What a waste of $150 and an hour of my time. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA

Not as expected from the pictures seen online, cockroaches ALL OVER the room. Nothing was clean, can see outside through the AC vent. If you plan on staying here, I recommend not.

First things first COCKROACHES! The front seat people have no clue what’s going on, I put a card on file to pay when they I got there, no one explained that they were going to run the card, my card got declined and then there card reader broke so they made me take cash out. Unreal thank god they waved the $6 atm fee. Room it’s self gross. Hole in the bathtub, mold all over the ceiling. Bed had stains everywhere. Also deadlock was broken so it was one flimsy lock to the door. Overall I’m actually scared places like this exsist. The fact cockroaches were in the room is terrible I probably have bed bugs and lice from the bed. NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. i would rather sleep on the streets.

We needed an overnight stay. Bed and bathroom were clean but that was about it. Free breakfast was "grab and go" with minimal choices. Property is very old and run down. Staff was very welcoming and kind!

Do not stay here. The place has a bad smell. There were about 6 cockroaches on the night stand by our bed. One in the bathroom sink, 2 on the wall, one on the wall by the toilet one on the tub and one running around the toilet. We took a video and showed the front desk. We did not stay. Also we had booked and paid for a king bed and was given a room with 2 queens. We are in the process of trying to get a refund.We slept in our car last night. No rooms were available elsewhere due to a Big Applefest on La Crescent.

Do NOT stay here! It's disgusting! The pictures online do NOT accurately show what this place looks like! They must have been taken 20 years ago. The carpet, room furniture and bedspread had numerous stains. We stayed out of absolute nessessity. There weren't any other hotel vacancies in the area. If it wasn't pouring rain, sleeping on a cot in the parking lot would have been a better choice and much cleaner! This place is a sh#t Hole.

The pool is under maintenance , it always is apparently and is never open. All the lights didn’t work in the room, I had to go to the desk and request light bulbs and was given them to install myself. There were large living bugs all over the room. The furniture was noticeably discolored from stain ie a pink couch with black arms that should have been pink. Freezer was completely iced up and unusable. The staff was ok, however, I was told “I just work here” . Faldo advertising for pool and food. There was barely breakfast and a note on the door saying thanks for understanding we have limited breakfast. There was a restaurant attached however it has been long closed. For others- there is nothing around here. I would highly recommend never staying here.

Wasn’t told there is no breakfast after being advertised. Light in the bathroom not working or light above door. No hand towels. We asked for some but didn’t get any. Stains on sheets. I couldn’t sleep with the covers pulled up.dirty bathroom and bed area. Refrigerator didn’t work. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in!

The lobby looked very nice and then you walk down the hallway and see how dirty it is. In our room the comforter was all stained up, the blanket under it had a big hole in it. Fire extinguisher had the battery hanging out of it. Found bugs crawling around in the bathroom 3 different times throughout our overnight stay there. The breakfast was a grab and go because they had no place for seating. The pool is being repaired but we looked inside and it was filthy also. DO NOT STAY THERE!!

We stayed at the Norwood because we were traveling for our business and wanted to keep exspenses low. We booked a king bed, we recieved 2 queens. Online, the amenties list sound proof rooms but we could hear our neighbors entire conversation. Most of the items in the room were in pour repair (broken dressers, only one working lamp, stained linens, broken and missing grout in the bathroom, tiolet took forever to refill). We booked the hotel because it had a pool / spa tub and the free breakfast. The pool and spa was down for maintence and according to other reviews, it has been down for months. Breakfast was some hostess donuts, granola bars and mandarian oranges. We did take a few bars as a snack later, but we had to get breakfast elsewhere. We also encounter the weird smell that other reviewers describe. Unfortunately, the only thing we liked about the property was the cheap price, but we have had better at cheaper hotels. All in all, we had an ok stay but we won't be back unless it's our last choice.
