We enjoyed our stay, It was our first time in Costa Rica. There were a few problems. The hiking trail was not open. Lighting in the rooms was poor. We did not always have hot water. There was not enough seating in the rooms for 3-4 people. What made this property stand out was the staff. They are excellent.

Service is awesome, the people are so nice. The Arenal volcano views are spectacular and fell in love right the lush rainforest from patio. Didn’t get a chance to experience SPA. The gift shop view is also awesome.

Our room had an amazing view of Arenal and was very large and comfortable for our family of 4. The warm pool and swim up bar was awesome. The hotel is a bit far from town, so be prepared to drive into town in the evenings for dinner.

Lost Iguana and their staff were truly magical. I cannot say enough good things about the property and the service. My only regret is that we didn’t receive notice that the pool/bar would be closed during our stay.

The staff at the Lost Iguana, especially Samir, were amazing: helpful, friendly, professional and very kind. The pool area is very nicely kept and it was great to have the bar right there. The food was great and we loved the views from the room. Everything was clean and it was a great experience overall!

This property was beautiful but definitely a bit further from anything. No shops or food is walk able. One restaurant on site was decent but very expensive. Pools were nice, one heated and one not. Trail around the property was super cool but had a lot of random inclines. Getting TO the trail up the big driveway started it off tough. We had ants in our room right away and they seemed to come from the beautiful flowers that were placed in our room. Couldn’t leave a single snack around because ants would come very quick. You’re in the middle of all the nature and an amazing volcano view but keep in mind you’ll want a vehicle to get around or just stay put. Mistico was ten mins up the road, the hotel offers a round trip shuttle so book through them!

Really enjoyed our experience at this hotel. You feel like you are staying in the rainforest but with a clean and modern room and a great restaurant on site. Lots of wildlife on the property, volcano views from the balcony. Service, wifi, pools were all great as well. Was our favourite hotel from our trip where we stayed at 3 different places. Short drive to activities nearby as well. Not much walkable though so you'd benefit from having your own car if you stay here.

The property was absolutely fantastic. Our room had an amazing view of Mt. Arenal and was well worth the expense. All the employees were extremely helpful whether we needed information, directions or recommendations. We would undoubtedly stay there again when we travel back to Costa Rica.
