We stayed 3 nights and it was our first time at this La Jolla shores property and would suggest it as a great place to stay. Staff was great, everyone at the desk was attentive and helpful. The room was nice (we were on the 2nd floor NOT facing the ocean) but overall it was clean and nicely appointed. I assume for higher ocean facing floors you need to reserve early and request them. What we found challenging was 1. The pillows were FLAT - neckaches and difficult to sleep. 2. There is both a $42 AND $30 per day fee, one for self parking, the other for a resort fee. This is ridiculously steep considering the "resort" has no pool, no hot tub nor visible feature to truly warrant a $30 fee on TOP of the $42 parking fee. Spaces for cars are bare minimum size and tight squeeze. We will return to the property as it's a very convenient short walk to the main strip in LaJolla shores and the beach but will find alternatives to parking.

Absolutely beautiful hotel & perfect location. Stood here for my wife’s big 30th could not have better things to say. Amazing ocean view from room, fantastic food in the restaurant & great staff service. Location was amazing 8 min walk from beach/ restaurants. Hotel La Jolla went above and beyond by even having a card with chocolates for my wife. Definitely will be back. 10/10. Thank you!

Terrible experience. Hotel itself is very clean and in a great location, however, we were woken up by noises every evening, and in particular by a party and loud music one of the evenings. We were woken up at 1 am by basically a concert in the room above us. Front desk was super unhelpful and told us to call the cops ourselves. We were exhausted and it ruined our following day of vacation as well. One elevator for a huge hotel, so you just stand there for a while waiting for the elevator, so we ended up taking the emergency stairs up and down a lot. Just awful rude staff, awful experience. I wish I had paid attention to the other reviews that mentioned the noise and the elevator.

I have stayed in many different SD hotels. I would say this is one of the best in terms of service, view, food, and location. I was able to walk from the hotel to La Jolla beach through a beautiful trail. I love the $30 per day meal credit to the hotel restaurant. I loved the view and the food at the restaurant. One thing that I didn't expect to pay was the additional resort location fee of $30 per day parking fee of $42 per day. I know a lot of hotels in SD has that. I think it should be more clearly stated Expedia website. Otherwise, I love this hotel and will consider going back again.

Gave us a room near elevator which was so noisy. Staff didnt provide proper information about property. The exit gate stopped working and we couldn't get our car out! Staff didnt know how to fix it and we were late to our event!
