Location, location, location! Being on the beach was the best! Loved looking out at the ocean. The facilities were a bit outdated, but everything was clean enough. The location was nice and quiet, away from the beaten path and away from downtown La Jolla. Plenty of eating places within walking distance of the hotel. Easy enough to find parking on the street (free!), to avoid paying $40\night parking fee in the hotel garage.

Nice beach hotel

The hotel is right on the beach. We were disappointed with the front desk personnel (seemed to be a bit arrogant). The cleaning staff was excellent and other staff also very good. The room lacked a microwave and the tv was very difficult to watch (location). The channel selection was poor as well. Overall the hotel location made up for the other shortcomings. Can’t beat the beachfront.
