Friendly staff and owners and overall a nice little hotel. It is curreny being modernised, the older rooms definitely look a bit dated. Mykonos room with balcony and view of the Malecon is great. A bit of traffic noise but generally quiet at night.
This place was just what we wanted in La Paz. It was walking distance from the ocean, great restaurants and the nightlife, but quiet as if it was way outside of the downtown zone. Their restaurant, Zoe, was a godsend one night. We ordered some dinner and they brought it to our room. The food was amazing. I was a bit skeptical because they serve a variety of regional foods, but everything we had was top notch.

Meh!
There are far better choices in La Paz for similar or less money. In the past, we have had management tack on extra (made up) fees when you book through Expedia or Hotels.com to make up for the fees the hotel pays them. They did that again this time despite us having a coupon from Hotels.com. They accepted it and then hiked their additional fees to negate any savings we might have had . As a result, we will not stay here again. No breakfast is included. Even coffee is charged for. While the room was acceptable, there was little effort made by the hotel to make our stay memorable. Too bad because they are wasting an opportunity.
Not comparable to other properties in La Paz at the same price point.

Great location and value.
Sweet little place and worked well for us as we were just passing through. The place has a lot of charm and the management was accommodating. Walking distance to night life and restaurants on the malacon.

An Oasis
Just steps from the sea, very secure behind gates, excellent staff, breakfasts and espresso to savor. Inner sanctum colorful small courtyard entrance. Very quiet. Our room was up a very slippery tiled spiral staircase, a described"supreme" room with a walk out balcony view of the sea and bird calls to entertain. Very spare furnishing, fridge to plug in, AC and fan were perfect on our 90's degree visit. Bed was big but the mattress was a challenge about 7 inches of padding on board frame and no spring at all. Think camp style feel. We slept hard after our days out exploring. Shower is minimal and towels on the skimpy side. Linens well used. Careful walking into bathroom as tile lip could catch you for a fall on tile and sink. Needs accessible electrical outlets and luggage rack or some little table to put your things. Hair dryer loan quit after one use. But secure inside areas and 3 free "securitycamera on" parking right at entrance were such a plus. This is a convenient stay for travelers gone all day and need the B&B and off again to explore. Not really a comfortable place to lounge around, bed included, except in the lobby over an espresso and homemade breads. We didn't have time to try restaurant on premises except for super cold beer on pretty terrace. Lots of art in and around make for a Mediterranean vibe. Love the blues...cooling.
This is a great hotel for stay in La Paz. Service was great, rooms are clean, very convenient location, a few feet from the water front. Staff are friendly, helpful. We will stay here again.
The layout of this little hotel is that rooms are in pretty little stone buildings, each with its own entrance from the courtyard. The rooms are basic, with air conditioning, TV. The beds are apparently new and very comfortable. There is wifi in the rooms, but for more extensive work on laptops the owner graciously allows guests to use the air-conditioned breakfast nook. The restaurant is reputed to be good, though we didn't eat there.
The Mediterrane is a decent hotel, but the rooms are very small. Coffee/breakfast is rather expensive. We changed hotels and got a lot more space and paid less.
Very good service, friendly staff and owner, in the city center (so you can have a walk down the boardwalk, shopping, get something to eat/drink). Would stay again.
The rooms are small but clean and neat, with high, domed ceilings and good air conditioning. The hotel owner and staff are happy to help out anyway they can. We needed to do some work on our laptops and the owner graciously allowed us to use the breakfast nook by the reception desk all afternoon, so we could work in air conditioning and dim light. Great morning coffee!
Hotel Mediteranne is a great boutique hotel nicely situated less a half block from the beach and a short walk to the downtown La Paz restaurants/bars. The adjoining restaurant, Zoe (same ownership), is fantastic. The service is friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to any traveler looking for an economical and unique spot to explore the Sea of Cortez.
We stayed there for 2 nights. Our room was a separate little building with high dome roof and lots of light. We enjoyed breakfast in the nook by the office, especially the selection of espresso coffees from all over the world. We decided to stay another night, and only discovered later that the room rate was higher! Should have booked the extra night through Travelocity!
Room was clean and breakfast was great. They had homemade muffins. They also have kayak rentals and your hotel is a block from the beach in La Paz. It was a good place to stay overnight or for two days.

Fine basic room
Nice basic little hotel, just off the Malecon. Very handy to many restaurants and attractions. Very clean room, but no view nor window that opens, no ceiling fan so had to run the AC constantly. If I went back I'd pick the Andros room upstairs at the back of the courtyard. The young men who ran the hotel and adjoining restaurant were most accommodating and friendly. Rooms would be more tourist-friendly if they had a safe, coffee maker, refrigerator, and ceiling fans and windows that open. We felt very secure here with access to the rooms through either the hotel lobby or locked gate.
We loved Hotel Mediterrane! This place is an act of love. So thoughtfully done, both the Hotel and restaurant Zoe. It's comfortable, clean, unique, welcoming. Nothing fussy. Plenty of attention and helpful direction, but not intrusive. Each room is individual. Bouganveillia, an orange tree and a trickling fountain center in the courtyard. Breezy. Steps from the Malecon.
So nice, we came back for extra days here.
