Property is charming! Very nice and clean. Excellent location. However, check in process was very bad. We got at 8pm and notified the host about it. Received instructions but the name of the room was not posted anywhere close to the door so we ended up walking around on a rainy night for 45 min trying to find our room. Called to the number provided and it goes directly to an answer machine. Thanks to the Expedia customer support, that somehow found a way to talk to the host, we were able to find the room.

Great breakfast and hospitality
A very cool place, within walking distance from the train station. They were accommodating with me possibly needing a late (after 6pm) check-in, but fortunately my train was on time. As such, I got to experience some cajun music in the drawing room upon my checking in. Breakfast was excellent. The in-person hosts and the person with whom I spoke on the phone were all very nice and directed me to some good local eateries and experiences for my all-too-brief one night stay in Lafayette. The grounds are also quite lovely and I did get to enjoy some nice time in the garden with a friendly black and white cat; and also just on my own sitting in a wooden tree swing doing nothing but sitting.

What a charming and delightful experience staying at Mouton Plantation Bed & Breakfast. It was a real treat. Thank you for being Pet Friendly. This was why we found you in the first place. The property is lovely and we felt quite secure. The breakfast was also lovely and filling. Your staff was accommodating and pleasant. The only thing I did not like was that we stayed only one night. We will return and have recommended your B&B with others already.
