I’m not gonna lie, I was most excited for this hotel. The pictures looked amazing. I was a little disappointed upon arrival. When we checked in they gave us a little run down of going to beach and hotel amenities felt like a little “nickel and dimey”. We got to our room and it was ok, pretty run down and dated but that didn’t bother us because as long as we have A/C we were happy. We opened the door to our room and found a huge cockroach waiting for us. Luckily my husband worked fast and killed it immediately. We chopped it up to a one off and put a towel under our door thereafter. The next morning ANOTHER roach attempted to enter our room! Ugh I couldn’t sleep the rest of the trip. The overall grounds of the hotel were pretty unkempt and dirty so we kind of understood where that came from. But needless to say we would not stay here again. I will say it’s nice they have a free shuttle to the beach so that was a plus.

This hotel is not what it pictures at all. All of the pictures posted by the hotel are absolutely filtered, from the pools, rooms, food, service. The gym is laughable. I can keep going on and on about the terrible experience we had at the tivoli Lagos. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Tivoli Lagos was overall nice. It's an older property so lot of things were dated. We got upgraded to a suite which was really nice with a big wrapped around terrace with a stunning view however since this hotel is pretty old there weren't that many plug outlets in our suite. This might not be an issue for a lot of people but it was for us as my husband is a professional photographer and videographer and has lot of equipments that needed to be charged including both of our laptops. The bathroom sink was growing mold in the back which was gross and we requested to clean that up but was never done. Breakfast was mediocre and some staff at the breakfast were not friendly at all. But other than these hotel is location is very convenient. Only a few minute walk to the square and marina. It was safe and quiet. They had designated parking lot which was really convenient if you are renting a car. All in all it was good.

I highly recommend getting a massage. 30 minutes is only 34 euro. Buffett breakfast was excellent, lots of options. Overall, exceptional place to stay.

Easy to walk around, beach shuttle is great! Rooms are outdated, dog friendly hotel but no area for dogs to run around and play, had to cross the pool with dog from our room and go down stairs and elevators just to get outside and go for a walk for them to relieve themselves.

The Tivoli Hotel enjoys a privileged location—central, and ideal for exploring the surrounding attractions. However, the logistical layout presents notable challenges for guests, particularly those with mobility concerns or heavy luggage. Our assigned room was located at a significant distance from the main lobby, involving a series of corridors and, more problematically, stairs. Adding to the difficulty, bellboy assistance was not proactively offered during check-in or check-out. This was particularly disappointing given the hotel’s tier, where attentive guest services should be a standard expectation.

This hotel has one major advantage, its location. Beyond that, the experience fell short on multiple fronts. The atmosphere lacked warmth, & the staff didn’t make us feel welcome or cared for. There’s a clear need for better training, especially when it comes to engaging respectfully with guests from diverse backgrounds. The complimentary breakfast was poorly done, with limited options. The hotel had almost nothing for vegan guests. We also waited over an hour for a simple lunch (salad & pasta) at the bar, which was frustrating. Service throughout our stay felt inattentive, & the overall condition of the hotel could use some improvement. Until the staff is better trained & the hospitality standards are raised, I wouldn’t consider returning.

Although ours was a very short stay.. I can say this for sure that this is in such a great location. Walking distance to EVERYTHING! Yes the beach is not walkable but they have shuttles. The marina is just a walk over the bridge. So many shopping and dining options. Boat tours from marina easy to access as well. Breakfast was also very good. Room spacious and clean. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Bar was good and there was a happy hour. In the evening they had someone playing the guitar which was nice as well. I would stay here again if going to Lagos.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The staff was not welcoming or accommodating, and there’s a real need for better training especially in how to interact respectfully with guests of all nationalities and races. The free breakfast was horrible, with very little effort put into it. There’s barely any vegan options available at the hotel. Lunch by the bar took over an hour just to get 4 salads and 1 order of plain pasta, which was frustrating. The service overall was slow and disorganized, and the hotel itself feels like it needs attention and care. I wouldn’t stay here again unless there are major improvements in hospitality, inclusivity, and overall quality.

Well located property, but it’s in need of a lot of maintenance/feels quite dated. Generally had what we needed for the stay, but just felt like it was need of repairs. There were also quite a lot of ants in our room each night. The cleaning staff also never cleaned our room despite multiple requests for cleaning, it seemed like they had very limited hours that were later in the day when we were in the room.
