Really nice vibe at the Laguna Beach Hotel. Well designed, and nice amenities like a pool, hot tub, fire pit, daily happy hour, hot cookies at night and coffee in the morning. Great location near the beach, shops and restaurants.

The beds are fantastically uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin. It's effectively a retrofitted motel, but location is great and they've done a nice job upgrading. However, bring ear plugs so you don't hear people through your walls. Also, hotel should get new mattresses. Current ones are hard as a rock and exceptionally poor quality (you can feel the springs with every turn). Very nice staff and wine hour was chill
