Hotel is showing its age. Property says no smoking but we had to deal with neighbors smoking on their balcony every day. Hotel said they would fine them however not what we wanted to smell when we were trying to enjoy the ocean air on our balcony. Front desk didn’t notify us when our room was ready like they stated they would. We had to go back and check status 45 mins after checkin. Valet staff was amazing and took great care of us. It was nice having access to beach on property. The food, drinks and staff at The Deck was great. Would stay again if we could not find a newer hotel.

We booked two rooms. The website photos looked too good to be true. The only thing looked familiar as the photos was the bed. The carpet was dated and looked like it had not been replaced for 10 years, we wouldnt allow our kids to sit on the carpet or drop any clothes or towels on the carpet. Bathroom looked like from the 1970s - a lot of patches around the grouts and fiber glasses? Felt unclean and we tried not to touch many things. Beds should be replaced. We could also hear the neighbors next door. Location was great, close to everything, and the lady at the front desk was super friendly. But we would not stay here again - not worth the value we paid.

We were in room 12 and the furniture really needs to be updated to more farmhouse look the couch was very uncomfortable and the metal table should be updated to a nice wood. The room was a little noisy due to all the parking access and delivery trucks. Area is great

This property could definitely use an update but the proximity to the ocean and the super friendly staff make up for the dated interiors. Clean and comfortable. Walkable to the heart of Laguna, the grocery store and area restaurants.

Overall we really enjoy this hotel. We usually stay there at least twice a year. Location is great, short walk to downtown Laguna, shops and dining. The hotel has 2 restaurants that are both solid. My only negative is you’re never sure what type of room you will have. Some stays we’ve had rooms that have been refreshed and are updated, other stays like this last one we’ve had rooms that REALLY need updating. We will be back, and keep our fingers crossed.

Great beach and location

The location and beach access is excellent. They had lots of beach items you can rent including chairs. We walked a lot and took the trolley around town. There was also a grocery store nearby. The hotel is older and had limited counter and table space, but overall I’d definitely stay there again.
