The room was spacious and comfortable. Was quiet on the 12th floor with a great view. (My husband saw whales!) It was right on the beach and it was a great place to swim, even early in the morning. The breakfast buffet was nice, with pancakes and bacon but also some local choices, like noodles and salad. The staff were friendly and helpful. The desk clerk Kim made us feel more welcome than any other person we met this week! Mahalo

Our stay was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The restraunt has excellant food, the beach side bar is great for a relaxing drink after swimming in either the pools or the beautiful ocean right there. They're on top of keeping the resort clean. The beach beach activity shack has plenty of things to rent like kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, snorkle gear they got it. The beach is beautiful and you can see whales all over in the right time of year. And if you are on foot or more active there is a beach path that'll take you towords shopping. Overall it was amazing and we plan on coming back in the future.

No heated pool bad old paint smell on hallway. Had to hit the coffee maker and light to make it work . Restroom got clogged. No answer at reception when try to report it .35 dollars to park at property no room cleaning but 1 time when we stay 5 days.

A lame night for an awesome wedding day

It was our wedding night and the hotel acknowledged it when we were booking but made no effort to make our wedding night special. A note, a bottle of wine or flowers or something but not a thing. The hotel seems uber focused on making sure their guests were aware of their no smoking policy to the point it felt like big brother was watching at every moment. Over all the experience was less than appealing and will not be recommending the resort to others nor will we stay again

The oceanfront Jr. suite bungalow was so incredible. Defiantly ask for second floor so you can see the ocean from your living room. It was like having our private “home” away from home for a few days. All of the team were friendly and helpful- they really are the reason it was memorable. Our first dinner on property one of the restaurant staff named Ford was truly hospitable and made our night. Each person we met who worked there was friendly and kind. They went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. The views were just breath taking from the beach, pool, and our room. Loved the location- you could easily walk to Whalers village, and a couple of other. Beach bar/restaurants. It was so clean and comfortable. The ice cream shop/coffee was so wonderful to wake up and take a cup to the outdoor lounge areas and watch the sunrise/sunsets. I hope more people find this gem and enjoy it as much as my family and I did. Thank you to all who work there for sharing your island with us and making our stay so memorable. Mahalo.

Overall, the property was descent, quiet room. Close proximity to Whaler's Village. However, housekeeping ws ment to be offered every other day, but they cleaned the room only once in 8 days. We had sand on the balcony, piles of accumulated trash, no coffee, toilet paper. We had to call the reception few times to request these services. When we brought this up to the front desk staff, they kept reassuring us that they would call housekeeping to clean and change the bed sheets, however time and time again, no one in fact came. We told them once that we'll be out for 4 hours, and still our room was not cleaned. Additionally, the internet speed was agonizingly slow. We found it was better to turn the wifi off to get a better reception. We also ate once at the restaurant on property. We ordered pork skewers, but when they came, it was primarily lard, which was dripping when we bit into it. Other than that, the ocean view was unbeatable, the beach was literally steps away from the property, nd the luau was convieniently on the resort premises.

We totally enjoyed our stay! Ocean views amazing. Food superb. The breakfast buffet had views of the ocean and islands coupled with delicious options. The availability of two pools, countless places to lay, easy access to towels, sunscreen, and pool bar were enjoyed. The staff was kind and so welcoming. We hated to leave this bit of paradise.

We loved the trolley every half hour and how the beach felt very private. Staff was very professional and friendly. Shower was amazing (like a massage), comfortable beds, easy check/check out process.

The bungalows had nice upgrade, especially with AC. Although our room had spots on bathroom floor, 1 bed had a small stain on the sheet, and when we were checking out we found goggles grom past guest.

Worst checkin experience I have ever had. No help with bags upon arrival when we pulled up. We had to ask for a bellman. They held our bags until our room was ready and then brought them up and threw them on the ground next to the dresser. Didn’t ask where we wanted them or if we needed them to be placed anywhere. Just tossed them on the ground which resulted in my partners luggage to rip making a large hole. We had to purchase new luggage at the end of our trip. The front desk was incredibly rude. No one welcomed us to Hawaii. They demanded to see my card as I approached the desk and said they tried to run it twice 24 hours before but I was told we would pay at the property. The wrong card was on file as we had booked through Expedia. I was unaware and that resulted in a large hold on my credit card resulting in being flagged for fraud. The hotel was of no help and treated us like peasants when I tried to find a solution as it was a Friday and the bank placed a hold until Monday due to everything pending. Only one front desk agent was friendly and tried to assist best she could but by this time we were so turned off by this entire first experience we checked out after 24 hours and left the island. I will never go back to Royal Lahaina. I asked for a full refund and they have still held my deposit though we left. BEWARE. Hotel looks beautiful but not worth the money and the trouble plus they will try to overcharge you.
