Love the Shamrock Inn

The Shamrock Inn never disappoints. The food, service, and staff are excellent. The parking is easy and location is perfect.

I really liked the staff. The room a bit small, bed not so comfortable, and walls a bit thin. It is in a great location, and if you’re golf at lahinch, it’s 2 minutes away. Again, the staff is wonderful. Good breakfast too.

Not so lucky.

The Shamrock Inn is in a great location one street away from the ocean in Lahinch. It’s situated next to the Atlantic which handles check in and breakfast and seems a bit more upscale than the Shamrock but we chose it because we thought it was ocean front. It’s not. Room was meh. It was dark with 1 window overlooking the Main Street and not attractive nor particularly clean. Peeling paint around the window, beds uncomfortable and room wasn’t serviced other than the wastebasket emptied. We stayed 2 nights and loved the town and the restaurant in the Atlantic (which I think is owned by the same team) so definitely stay at the Atlantic because The Shamrock needs a makeover—the people were very nice though!

Cozy hotel right in the middle of a cute Irish seaside town. Our only difficulty was that we happened to be there during a “heat wave” & rooms don’t have AC so it was a bit hot. Our room was right on the main road & with windows open for air circulation, it was a bit loud with traffic & pub noise both late into the night & very early in the morning. Breakfast was great.

This is a very unique old hotel in a lovely ocean front town. The staff is very helpful. There are no elevators so it is a challenge for us older folk. The staff is quick to help with luggage.

Right in the middle of town. Close to shops, pubs and the beach. only a 10 minute drive to the cliffs of Moher which is spectacular . Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Spacious clean rooms.
