My car was hit while parked in the hotel lot. The hotel smelled and was dirty. Sticks were used to prop the doors open. Hotel walls were stained.

The food was sometimes cold and the pool is highly chlorinated so it dried out my kids skin and hair. Half way through our stay our hotel room bathroom was covered in ants in our clothes and on the toilet seat counters THEY WERE EVERYWHERE. And they wouldnt let us leave that room for another one but that morning 6am they finally gave us a new room and that same day they rented out the ant infested room

I would not stay there again or any other Best Western for that matter. looked like a cheap motel and smelled like mildew. Service sucked, minus housekeeping workers tried to due what they could, but management was just dismissive. Will be filing a complaint I would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason stay somewhere where you count not just your money.

The hotel was close to the things we wanted to do. The beach was 6 minutes away, the casino was 13 minutes away not to far from the hotel. The hotel air was on you felt the cold air but it wasnt projecting around the room. The bathroom door wouldn't lock, the clock was making noise i had to unplug it. The key cards kept deactivating, breakfast time can be a lil longer it ends at 9 most hotels end at 10. You can not take a plate back to the room they charge $10.00 so everyone must go to breakfast if you dont want to be charged. The outside grass wasnt manicured. The house keepers was nice and friendly they did refreshed our towels. In the bathroom the stopper was on the side of the tub and the shower head was loose. We saw one water bug while in the room. The breakfast was okay but i didnt go back to breakfast the next day. The price of the room wasnt bad i guess the old saying u get what u pay for. If im ever in the area i would try another hotel. The bed was big n comfy the covers was light but do to the air wasnt projecting much the light covers worked out.

Best Western MLK st Lake Charles

I chose this hotel bec of good review but this is old hotel. Was hard to open door, had to change rm bec thermostat not working but eventually did. Changed rm. Aircon ok. Bathroom needs to be remodeled - shower curtain needs to be replaced. Paper towel hotel rusty. Replace bathtub faucet - very difficult to determine hot/cold. Needs Bleach spray cleaner for corners of tub. It's brown not white. All towels need to be replace. Very thin & not too white. Bed pillows very uncomfortable. Breakfast not up to par w other Best Western.

Most of this property was nice except one major thing. We found a few roaches in our room. One in the bathroom and one in the main room. That scared my wife.

Nice and comfortable

Beds were comfortable and a nice place to stay. Rosie (front desk clerk) was very welcoming. She was able to extend our stay for one more night, which we did not plan. All was nice, just would like to see a little more effort put into the complimentary breakfast. Also, hotel was not far from the Golden Nugget casino. Other than that, I would stay at this place again!
