We’ve stayed at The Cove many times and always have such a wonderful time in Lake Geneva. The location and overall experience are great, and it’s a place we truly enjoy coming back to. My only wish is that some of the rooms were more updated, especially considering how high the rates can be during peak season. A few feel a bit dated or worn, but other than that, we always enjoy our stays here.

We will definitely be back, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the pool area and the food in the attached restaurant was delicious! Love that we could walk from the hotel to our boat rental, perfect location!

We came to the Cove to celebrate on 30th anniversary. There are a few complaints. We somehow ended up with a handicapped room which we did not request. Did not like the shower. Also the couch was awful to sit on. Seat cushions were sunk in and very uncomfortable to sit on. The biggest complaint was the balcony. We were above the vent for laundry and it was so hot and lint flying everywhere. It was not enjoyable to sit out on the balcony. Our clothes were covered in lint.

Within two hours of being there my 18 month old granddaughter’s socks got filthy. With as dirty as her socks got so quick, that floor hasn’t been cleaned in a long time, which to me, is inexcusable.

As the units are individually owned there is a huge disparity in the quality. Our unit was outdated, cheap furniture, musty old carpet, cracked cabinets, and overall unacceptable. Across the hall was a beautifully decorated and updated unit! Clearly standards are not set and so buyer beware!! I asked to talk with management at the time and got no response. If you look at reviews from over the years you will see the same concerns. I recently received an email from management that is almost word for word the response you will see to other people’s postings about poor quality. Such a great location and potential for a wonderful property, but consistent quality standards need to be enforced with unit owners.

Balcony was filthy, wouldn’t use it was so bad. No remote for main living area. When called front desk was told to “snuggle up in bed to watch tv” Unbelievable! Later found the remote in the main bathtub! The location was great but would have to think hard about staying here again!
