Our room was clean and quiet, and we did have a lake view which was nice. We seemed to be one of the few rooms with a balcony, but there were no chairs on it to sit on, and the sliding door had no screen, so we couldn't really leave it open it up at night which we would have preferred over running the AC unit. The bathroom was nice, and the shower had very good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The mattress on our bed was way too soft for my wife and my taste, and we didn't really get a good night's sleep. However, the pillows were quite good.

From the photos this looks like a modern/clean location , unfortunately the furniture around the lobby was dirty. One reception staff came off as very unfriendly and not accommodating. There was no grab and go breakfast as advertised just some old bananas turning brown. The furniture was dirty and our room after three days was not cleaned which you can notice by the dirt and hair in the ground. We bought a room that included a pull out bed for the kids but it really wasn’t a bed, the kids basically sleep on the couch. Also almost all rooms face the parking lot so no view. Great location near the strip, comfy king bed, and it was safe but the location needs done work.

Not the standard I expected for the cost

The front desk staff was really nice for the most part. The hotel has a remodeled vibe but also the vibe of someone who cut some corners during said remodel, even so, we had a large room which was nice. The shower drain wasnt attached, the beauty plate for the shower head wasnt attached either. There was just a sink in the bathroom, no counter to set your bathroom items. Between the beds was a tiny table, not a proper nightstand. The other side of the bed had nowhere to set my glasses or phone so they went on the floor. There was no ironing board or iron, which I actually planned to use. The parking lot doesnt have enough spaces for everyone. One night we had to park in the employee lot, opposite side from our room. There was a handicapped spot occupied by a vehicle without any proof displayed that they could use the spot. However, we have a placard. I told the front desk and they apologized and told me there would be an "investigation" whatever that means, but we were told their lot was "first come first serve", but I'm not sure what we would have done if their employee had been full too. We took the last spot. Not necessarily the hotel's fault but we listened to kids running around above us most of the night. I know Lake Placid is an expensive place, but it was a lot of money for 2 nights and I left feeling like my needs weren't met. Details matter. Plenty of apologies with no action to fix anything. I wouldnt stay there again.

I really had high hopes for this stay but unfortunately it fell short of expectations and this is why: Several conflicting answers from the staff, I asked if they would match a much lower rate on Expedia vs the website and was told NO over the phone but when I got to the hotel they told me YES. I asked for a room with a balcony (which was pictured on the photos) and was told there were no rooms with balconies which is correct (pls take that photo down it's misleading). I asked for a view of the lake and was told that the more expensive rooms which is what I booked faced the parking lot. There is no soundproofing between rooms and also the windows facing the parking lot. We stayed 3 nights and every night we were woken up by several rowdy dudes at 3-4am outside of our window. There is no outdoor space at all in this hotel so if you want to enjoy time outside you should stay elsewhere. The breakfast is lackluster if you want something to eat go early as they ran out of simple things like coffee, yogurt etc rather quickly. PROS: the design is nice in the common areas. The beds are comfortable.Close proximity to restaurants and bars.
