We had stayed at the pines inn before but after this stay we will never stay there again. The only thing this place had going for it was it was fairly clean. We had no blinds or curtains on the windows including one in the bathroom. There was no one at the front desk when we got there and our key was not on the counter even though we did the online based registration. We had one pillow each if you can call them pillows. The sheets were on their last thread. We had forgotten something in the room and called to be able to stop back and get it. When we showed up and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to help I was told it had already been thrown out after being told earlier it would be there. Overall horrible experience.
The rooms including the bathrooms were nice and clean. That and the price point, this was perfect for my needs. But the property needs updates. The building is pretty old and it is obvious from the decor, wall paper etc.
If cleanliness is a priority for a budget, this place would meet expectations. If you are looking for fancy, you are in the wrong place.

We have always enjoyed staying at the pines and while the staff was polite our room lacked any window coverings. No shades no blinds. At night we felt like we were in a fishbowl and the sun was very bright in the am. We requested blinds or another room and were told nothing could be done, but we could hang towels. I’m not sure I would stay again.
Good facility, comfortable stay, clear instructions at the front desk.
Need elevator. More trash cans in room. There was only one in bathtoom.
The room light in the ceiling fan was difficult to close.
No one at the front desk. No curtains or blinds in my room facing the highway. The elevator was not working. I saw a handicapped woman struggle down the steps. Hand rails on the stairs with lots of scratches. The bathroom however was clean.
I was told this property is being sold. Current owners not really interested in keeping it up. The bed was comfortable. The building is very old and needs repairs.
Conf. 4492613370064.you cancelled my reservation without contacting me.It’s been a month and no refund. I need it now. Very unprofessional. Not happy.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was exactly as described. It was a cost effective option for an evening for my girlfriend and myself. The tempur-pedic bed was extremely comfortable which is great. The room was clean, the water pressure was great. The toiletries provided were in condiment packages which were...a little lacking. But really other than that it was a pleasant evening and I'd stay again if I needed to.

Disliked: Amenities
It definitely needs updating. There should be refrigerators and ice available to guest. At least one elevator should be accessible.
The room we were staying in was very dirty. The ceiling fan was filled with dust. The bathroom door had a difficult time opening and closing. No refrigerator in the room. The TV was difficult to set up and very outdated. The only good thing about the property was the location, walking distance from downtown.

Perfectly Fine.
It’s pricey for an ancient, outdated place but it’s clean, the AC is freezing cold and the showers are hot. The bed was comfortable, it worked well for one night.
There was no one at desk for check in. Keys for all rooms were on counter with our names. Had to buy batteries for TV. Room needed updating. Ripped curtain and wallpaper pealing. It was walking distance to downtown on the upside.
The property was dated but the room and bathroom were clean and functional.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
If I had known there was no elevator I would not have booked there. Building is very old and reminds me of a cheap retirement home.
It’s not falling apart but it needs updating.
Beds were clean but light bulbs were missing.
Holes in wall poorly patched, stairs are a challenge for older people or those with mobility problems.
The bed had only 2 pillows and 1 small blanket. The TV was the size of a microwave and we could not get any channels to work. The internet was terrible and could not be used. There were no shampoo, conditioner or bar soap. No person at front desk just a key in an envelope. Wall paper falling off the wall
