Great stay

Great location, nicely appointed, very clean cute and comfortable. Was there overnight for a short ski trip but would definitely consider staying here again.

We loved this little nice hotel. 5 mins walk to Heavenly Village. Great location. The staff marvelous. This nice lady Alondra very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the studio king suite and my wife loved the jacuzzi; she really enjoyed it. Definitely we’ll book again.

Perfect in every way!

The Jeffrey Hotel in South Lake Tahoe is super on every level: Eco-friendly, easiest ever contactless check in and check out - beats the clunky remote check-in the Marriott properties have. Excellent staff, every area is fresh & clean. Thoughtfully designed, the rooms are as beautiful as the pictures look. Bed was super comfortable with an extra clean blanket for frosty nights. The fireplace was charming, extra welcoming & romantic. Bathroom was well-designed with eco-friendly toiletries. Kitchenette was perfect - stocked with reasonable size small fridge, microwave, coffeemaker & pods, updated Pfaltzgraff plates, bowls & mugs made in the US were very pretty & practical. Clean stainless steel sink for quick clean-up after breakfast. We never needed to use the lobby. That said, the host was warm & welcoming by text. He accomated our need to be on the 1st floor because of an injury. He welcomed calling or texting for any need we had. Could not have been a better experience! The Jeffrey is an 11 out of 10. I'm a frequent and demanding business traveler. The Jeffrey is ideal! We'll be back for our next ski trip!

Summary: Hotel is clean, but gas wall heater does not warm the room enough, and customer service is unwilling to give a fair refund for the poor nights sleep due needing to use a noisy space heater to stay warm. It is clear the hotel was remodeled and clean, but the owner is not keeping up with heater maintenance, and uses virtual customer support from another country to make it painful to get a fair refund. This hotel is going downhill. The good: room was clean and ready on time, and local staff tried to help me. The bad: Gas wall heater was not able to heat the room to 70F, and could only heat to 60 to 66F. The room already had a space heater in it, but it was noisy and prevented me from sleeping through the night. This is a virtual hotel, and customer support is located in another country. I asked for the heater to be resolved before the 2nd night, and the local person came to replace the heater's remote/receiver batteries, but it did not change anything. After 2 nights of interrupted sleep from the space heater, I asked for a refund and what was offered was $150 credit card refund for a $460 stay, and $100 off a future stay with expiration date of 1 yr after arguing. To me this is not enough refund for not being able to sleep for 2 nights.

Nice & clean. The coffeemaker in our room was broken, but we were immediately brought a replacement. The only problem is the sound insulation: if you are a light sleeper – bring your earplugs with you, or ask for a second floor room, or both.

Room 14. Very noisy from upstairs and cleaning staff coming 8:00 am and work loudly. We wondered why so early. The shower water overflowed to the bathroom; created a messy situation. We were not happy at all. Couldn’t sleep well and the bathroom situation was very annoying. Yes, the room was clean.
