Definitely not worth the discount

This property has really gone down hill in the last few years. I have stayed there previously and everything was good, not great but now it just feels like a dump. The rooms didn’t have a fridge, there was no desk of any kind in the room, the shower temperature fluctuated during my whole shower, there were no amenities like a store or anything to purchase a drink or snack. Luckily there was a CVS across the street but was inconvenient. Parking is a sort of a mess as well. I know they are redoing the tower rooms but that doesn’t really help me today. I also understand that you get what you pay for so an $80 room midweek is a fair price but just felt like they should have closed the whole thing at once and redid it before reopening.

Should have stayed as the Hard Rock

This was a solo ski trip to relax. Unfortunately the hotel conditions was poor, the check in was innacurate, check out was off, smell of hotel was all of the oyster bar, not decent restaurant, no room service nor room cleaning. Also Hotels.com had a total of $710 for the stay and I was charged $739, clerk said hotels.com is never right and extra charges are not considered.

The hotel is quite nice, the decor is excellent, the room is big, the water pressure is excellent. There are a few things that need attention. The thermostat didn’t work, couldn’t change, so hot, always at 79F, my daughter had to open the windows. The door doesn’t close automatically because of the latch is loose. The parking charge $20/day with so many charges up to $105 for 2 nights. The parking must go around back. Not very convenient.

Overall great location. Only complain would be the $20 charge for parking. They also leave two water bottles in the rooms but charge $2 a bottle. They should just be complimentary.

Absolutely Terrible Experience

The stay was absolutely terrible. The heater didn’t work, thermostat was loosely hanging from the wall, the lock on the front door was so loose that if you pushed the door hard, it would come right off. The carpet was frayed and torn up, the gate on the balcony was broken and to put the cherry on top, I got bit up by bedbugs. When I voiced my concerns to the front desk, they said okay well you can either stay here or get a refund and check out. That’s it. We would have rather stayed because I usually stay there when I visit Tahoe and it’s usually a good experience, but this time around it was terrible. They didn’t apologize for any inconvenience, didn’t offer to remedy the situation in any kind of way other than us leaving. 0/10.
