Hidden charges

Required valet is ridiculous, and it wasn’t included in any of the descriptions of the hotel. There were other charges at the hotel I was not aware of. It impacted my ability to spend money elsewhere during my time on vacation. I will not be returning as a guest.

Property was nice and in a generally good area with a lot of food and shopping options a short walk from the property. The room was nice and updated and the beds were comfortable. Main thing I didn't like was that it was vallet parking with a $40/day charge. I don't care for properties that charge you to park there and I did not look close enough at the details stating the property was vallet parking. Overall it was a nice stay.

Pros: Room size, location and Nicole at coffee shop. Cons: where do I begin? Breakfast buffet was terrible. The whole hotel was absolutely dirty. Lobby chairs, pillows, desks, all beat. All of our towels in the room were covered in black hair, stains and had holes. We asked for new towels and ironically they were worse. One even had a blood stain. Hall carpets don’t seem to be cleaned or vacuumed. The pool was disgusting and the spa was over loaded with chlorine, forcing you out of the indoor pool area. Rooms are paper thin so you hear everyone stumbling in from the casinos at 3am. The valet team was great, other than one staffer (black man with accent) seemed reluctant to break our $20 to tip and even asked if we were guests at the hotel (day 3 in). To top off the experience, there was a homeless guy in the buffet area telling guests to pick up the live turtles from the aquarium. People were stupid enough to do so, we reported it to the lobby and no one took it seriously. The homeless guy had his shirt off stumbling out of the entry of the hotel. Lastly idiots at the hotel set off the fire alarm. The best charm is the fire pits that should be for guests only but are open to the public. The amount of disgusting feet crossed on the fire pits while the hotel selling smore kits was comical.

The hotel and location are great . The breakfast buffet is good and fresh. the pool is also nice and if you have kids is perfect to go swim after doing all outdoor activities. The only thing I did not like is that you can hear people in the bar late at night, a lot of noise because the bar is in the middle of the hotel and all rooms are around .

Solid 4 stars for this hotel. As others mentioned, it's an updated Embassy Suites so the rooms were spacious for our family of 4. We were a little concerned about noise since all rooms face the atrium but noise was never an issue (plus we had our white noise machines). Valet at times was a little slow but self-parking is not an option so you will need to plan accordingly. The kids had fun in the indoor pool but like another review stated, it was highly chlorinated but no issue otherwise. One area of concern which I mentioned to Tiffany (supervisor) was that our beds were made in a "non-standard" way. Instead of the fitted sheet, then flat sheet and duvet on top of the bed, the flat sheet was ON TOP of the duvet. My husband talked to the front desk on our first night and the person at the front had "no idea" about how beds were made and they offered to bring us additional flat sheets. They explained that they have large washing machines (which I don't doubt), but what we doubt is the fact that the duvets are washed after every single guest. Tiffany understood our concern and said she would bring it to the attention of the housekeeping staff. Overall, good stay, cute theming & decor, location is great and we'll likely be back.
