Affordable gem, favorite in the area

Second stay here, the first was when it was very new in 2017. This time with my partner for a concert, just for a night, it was just as cute and fun as I remembered. But, I just can’t give it 5* because it’s not the most comfortable. The bed was a little old and lumpy, the corners and details showed wear and tear in a few ways, and the bathroom is so narrow that you have to straddle the toilet or enter the shower just to open/close the door. The sink area is a little tight for two, but not a big deal. A great vibe and great value for the price, the bar and amenities and pool are all great, but it’s the kind of place I might be outgrowing in my 30s. A bed update and some rugs to warm up the place would go a long way. If you’re not picky on the details this place is a steal for the price, and it’s a great neighborhood to walk the area.

Very nice old hotel that has been upscaled. It has a lot of very nice amenities like breakfast onsite, s’mores in the evening and a beach pass to the lake only two blocks away. The hotel is also walking distance to the casinos and the Edgewood Resort

The property was ideal for our stay, offering a very close and safe walk to the Harvey’s amphitheater, where we attended a concert. It was spotless, seemed newly renovated, and had nicely landscaped grounds. The included beach access was excellent, and we enjoyed spending time in the common areas, as well as the coffee/beer offerings at the front desk. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

We loved the reception and patio area with the fire place. The rooms were also quite well amenated and comfortable. Moreover, they provided the vouchers for access to the private lakeside beach which otherwise costs $10. Staff was quite friendly and accommodating. Overall, we loved the place and would stay there again.

Great hotel with surprising amenities

We enjoyed our stay at The Coachman...a little more than we expected. They have many amenities that we didn't expect: food onsite, coffee bar onsite, bar onsite, s'more kits, fire pit, free access to the Lakeside Beach. These are in addition to free parking, comfortable room and bed, swimming pool and spa. One minor consideration, if there is a concert at Caesar's, you will definitely hear it, although we managed to go to sleep during the end of the concert. We would definitely stay there again!
