This place is SO CUTE! Very charming and unexpected! We had to travel to the area for a wedding and found this place for the night before. After a very long and rainy drive from Michigan we were so excited when we arrived! The ONLY criticism I would give is the mini split AC in the bunk room had a very bright light on it and wouldn’t turn off, so we didn’t sleep much. But the charm, unique design, yummy restaurant, and gift shop made up for it. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

This was our second time staying at The Red Caboose and we just love it. Its beautifully maintained, family friendly, and allows us time to "turn off". It is in a prime location making it easy to get anywhere in and around Lancaster. Last year we stayed in the Mail Car and this year we stayed in the Large Family Suite. It was a great option for us as we have a 14 year old and a 2 year old. It gave us all the space we needed and we LOVED the porch. Because of the Red Caboose, we made our original Lancaster trip an annual occurrence.

We didn’t end up staying there. The featured pictures were nothing like the room itself. It had pull out beds from the wall, and one was in the kitchen!! Absolutely not we walked right to the office gave the keys over and spent another hundred dollars getting a hotel room. I’m really ticked off. I want my money back.
